TAT I know I was supposed to create this... SORRY~~~york_pattieDecember 22 2008, 19:30:46 UTC
L worked his way to the docks, his shoulders slouched and his hands in his pockets. He felt uneasy but could not exactly pinpoint why. He had always been one hundred percent sure that Light was Kira, despite the lies her told the Task Force. Maybe it was because he would not look at Light the same. He knew he was a murderer and always had, despite the innocent acts he did over a span of five months.
Still, Light killed him. So, all of this time, Light had been looking at a dead man and kept a straight face. All L knew was that he was going to have to do the same.
L found Light at the docks. He turned his head and looked back and forth. Since no one was arriving at the time, they were empty. Or at least, somewhat. He stepped up to Light and let out a quiet sigh. Then, "Hello, Light Yagami."
Aly had waited for L to leave for his agreed-upon location with Light. Then she'd outfitted herself in black clothing and slunk along rooftops, heading for the dock in a route that might take longer, but avoiding the traffic of the city, she'd make it about the same time. The men didn't know she was watching, or that she was completely out of earshot, but with her Sight functioning with its telescopic powers again, it was easy enough to read lips.
Thank you, Da, for making me learn this...
Who was Light Yagami? What was his relation to L? Why did he feel the need to encode a message to the other man in such a public place...?
Did it have to do with the recent (and very weird) information swap she'd had with her roommate?
P.S. Go ahead and skip me while I'm gone. Aly will just watch and observe. If you finish while I'm still gone, Aly will leave just before L looks like he's going to and beat him home.
[ooc: wutthafuck Aly! Always following me around =3=. (jk...xD) Btw, the way you worded that, Alicia, you made it sound like he's to pull out a baseball bat and beat L to death. xD]
"Angry?" L's tone was emotionless and cold. "I would not say that that is the word for it." His dark black eyes stayed on Light's figure. "I requested to talk to you because, obviously, I would like to talk to you about a few things."
L was almost absolutely sure that Light was from after he died. The way he looked at L was different when they first met here from back in Japan. But how was he going to get a confession from him? L had planned a few things out but he was not sure which way would work. "Do you recall the shinigami that you had seen after Higuchi was captured?" He started.
'Shinigami?' Light almost grinned wider at that admission. In their last conversation, L hadn't mentioned a thing about the Death Gods. 'That means he lied to me about having come directly after the capture of Higuchi, whereas I told him we hadn't captured him yet. L will still think he has the advantage... but he'll think wrong.'
"L, don't you remember?" he asked. "I told you that I came from the time right before capturing Higuchi, so you know more than I do. I wouldn't recall anything that happened afterwards, much less about... 'Shinigami.'"

They were indeed alone. Were anything to happen here tonight, there would be no witnesses.
