WHO: Jade Curtiss, The Doctor, Cloud WHAT: Examining Jade's expensive bookend. WHERE: Keterburg Lofs. WHEN: Day 235 NOTE: Peony is welcome to crash, since he lives there too. Anyone else knock at the door first.
He propelled himself down the street, riding the bike he had built when he first got here, a satchel full of some of his homemade tools slung over his shoulder. He screeched to a halt in front of Jade's apartment and leaped at the door, knocking not quite raucously, but none too gently.
"Hullo? Hullo!"
He patted the sonic screwdriver in his pocket. The microscope and magnifying glasses of varying degree. It had been such a long time since he could lose himself in an exciting new discovery.
Cloud was not nearly as excited as the Doctor was, but he couldn't say he was entirely uninterested either. In fact, these crystals the Nobodies were whipping up had actually peaked his curiosity -- but until now, he had no access to one. So while he was content to go on without one, he was still curious enough to agree to help Jade examine the one he had bought.
Besides, the blond considered Jade to be a friend on some level. A friend with tea, but a friend nonetheless.
Seeing that the exuberant Doctor was already at Jade's door and knocking away on it, Cloud just stayed quiet, lingering back a couple feet away to wait for Jade too. He could introduce himself later.
Jade heard the knocking on the door and hurried to get it before Peony could. Was he even there? He hadn't heard him in well over an hour and it was eerie, coming from Peony who was usually so loud... so endearingly annoyingly loud.
He heard the voice, and instantly knew would it was, so he opened the door wide, a satisfied grin on his features. The grin of a cat who had gotten the milk and found it to be cream.
"Welcome to Keterburg lofts, come on it!"
He gestured for them to enter, and made his way towards the living room.
"I think I will, why thank you!" The Doctor chirped, hurrying inside - off the bike now, of course - and half-turning to Cloud. "Well, come on, come on! We don't have all day!"
And with that the Doctor followed Jade into the living room, unslinging his bag from over his shoulder and setting it down on the table as he did, head swinging this way and that for signs of the crystal. As he waited for Cloud to enter and situate himself, he began to attach mini-magnifiers to his glasses - extra lenses that sat in front of his usual ones to give him a better look at whatever it was they would find in the crystal.
Cloud tended to be a little... socially awkward with strangers. Especially happy, excited strangers. So, still without any words, the blond stepped inside and followed the two men into the living room.
He quietly watched as the Doctor started taking out his equipment, still not standing closer than a few feet. It still eluded him how someone could be so very excited over inspecting a crystal; but he just supposed that meant that the Doctor knew and loved what he was doing.
