Kariya and Roxas had said not to go off on his own too often, but since when was any version of Axel prone to following orders? As a child, he was no different, and so during the day, he showed up on the doorstep of the Sutcliff Townhouse, thinking himself to be Eric.

The nice man with the shark teeth liked lizards and had cake. That was enough of an excuse for Eric to be there. He stood on tiptoes and knocked on the door, and then waited patiently for someone to answer.

After things had settled down slightly and Kariya-niisan had forbid her from all attempts on Eric's life, Uzuki had gotten real bored real fast. So when she saw the redheaded boy talking to someone that looked like him, but with glasses and pointy shark teeth, it piqued her interest.

Especially when she heard there would be cake.

She followed Eric, managing to remain undetected - which was quite a feat for a loud girl with eyeblinding hair - and watched from behind a convenient bush as he knocked on the shark man's door.

There were few people that Death got personally attached to, mostly because she outlived the others and partly because there were rules against such things, but Grell was definitely the sort to be among them. The fact that he was an immortal - and a Death god - himself was just the icing on the cake. So naturally when he offered his house and his time to the newly made baby boomers of Rivelata, Death was all too eager to help out ( ... )

Eric's initial reaction was to pout as unfamiliar hands ruffled his hair, but once he heard the words "huge" and "cake" next to each other, his eyes widened.

"Really?!" he gasped in enthusiasm. "Wow!"

Uzuki decided to make her move before Eric got there first and ate all the cake. She scurried out from behind the bushes and ran up to the door, shoving past the redhead. "What kinda cake is it?" Uzuki asked excitedly, her grin nearly splitting her face in half.
