Death laughed, setting her hands on her hips and smiling down at the two.

"Now, now - let's not be in too much of a rush!" She said, waving a mock-admonishing finger at them. "Eat too fast and you won't be able to eat much of it at all. Besides, what if Grell's cooked up others kinds of goodies for you?"

At Uzuki's question she tapped a finger against her lip, frowning thoughtfully.

"Well... knowing Grell, probably one of every kind you can imagine," she said, winking. "But best to see for yourself, I think!"

He recognized Eric's voice as he approached the door, but not the little girl's voice. But that voice, yes yes he did indeed recognize. Opening the door, he said nothing and instead just yanked Death into his arms and spun around. She was so beautiful, and he fancied that she was the one who wrote The List for the Division to follow.
"Hello you." Grell greeted fondly, kissing her cheek before setting her back on her feet.

Seeing the two children, he dropped to one knee and rested a hand on their shoulder.
"Hello Eric, and hello Little Miss. I don't think you've told me your name!" Standing, he dusted his trousers before putting his hands on his hips. "I have quite the afternoon meal for growing children. So tell me, little darlings- do you like vanilla cake or chocolate cake better, hm ( ... )

"Um, um," Eric stammered, trying to think. "Chocolate!"

The new Lady was pretty, and he was mad that Uzuki was there now, but Grell seemed really nice, and he said he had food and cake. So he followed the older man inside, turning to briefly stick his tongue out at Uzuki.

Stupid girl, she probably thought he was cute or something dumb, but he wasn't gonna fall for any of that lame girl stuff.

"Grell-san! Visitors!" A happy, bubbly voice called out from the hallway. Soon enough, the owner of said voice was hopping through to where the group was standing. Wow! Look at all the people! Look at all the LITTLE people!

"How cute! It's been such a lucky day, lately! First, the sun came up, then the morning air came in, and now, this afternoon, we have cute visitors!" Kafuka Fuura beamed at the three that she hadn't seen before.

Death couldn't help but giggle when Grell swept her into his arms, and made sure to return the kiss before ushering the little ones inside. He seemed so happy to be taking care of the children that if it hadn't been for his equally joyful greeting of her, she might have left him to have them all to himself ( ... )
