Ed looked up at Max when he heard her voice above him. "Haha," He said, a nervous laugh escaping him. Now he really was soaked to the bone, and he was kind of sore. He had a feeling he'd be walking a little funny until he could work that out.
"Yeah, well, I'm okay. As okay as I'll be all things considering." He pushed himself to sit up, stretching both his arms up over his head with a groan before he pushed himself to his feet and stretched again. A little better, but he bet there were still gonna be bruises. At least he hadn't broken his prosthetic again.
When the boy cam bursting out the door, Ed rose a brow and looked over at him. He didn't think he'd ever seen him before; but evidently Max knew him, as he'd come running out of her house and calling her name. "Uh.. Max is over here," He said, raising a brow as he jabbed an elbow in her direction, not really realizing the other was blind.
She was relieve when he managed to be sensible. She'd been expecting some sort of woozy comment. Was he certain he was human? Her soaked head whipped around to look at Iggy. Seeing him, she could've frowned at his worrying about her, and rolled her eyes that he'd rushed out into the rain when he was, well, blind.
"We're fine. No one's hurt." Too bad. Seeing Ed could stand, Max straightened and walked over to Iggy. She glanced at Ed and realized they'd never met. "Iggy, Ed. Ed, Iggy." She stuck her hands in her wet pockets. A formal introduction, if she did say so herself.
On another train of thought... She turned to Iggy, eyebrows raised, "What's stopping me from running into the kitchen for a rolling pin?"
His face turned towards the sounds almost immediately, and his shoulders relaxed once he realized it hadn't been Max who'd taken the tumble from the roof. He noted her voice drawing nearer as she walked towards him, and scoffed at her question.
"I can still hear you," he pointed out, reaching out to where her voice was and managing to zero in well enough to poke her solidly in the shoulder.
"You must be the 'guest'", he continued, addressing the unfamiliar voice - 'Ed', Max had called him? "Glad to know you're not hurt."
With the pleasantries - in his opinion, at least - over and done with, Iggy turned back towards the house.
"Come on, then," he called back, not bothering to turn. "We're all soaked now - I've got some soup waiting."
Ed glanced over at Iggy when Max introduced him. He hadn't ever seen him before, he didn't think. Not surprising. He spent most of his time doing other things; he didn't always have time for the journal.
"Yeah, uh, thanks," He said, scratching the back of his neck as he followed them into the house. "Nice to meet you, I guess." He glanced at Max a moment before he looked back at Iggy.
Well, a dry place and warm food he certainly couldn't complain against. Especially after being in the rain and falling off a roof.
It wasn't surprising he hadn't seen Iggy, really. Max could guess how busy the Elric brothers were, especially with the influx of people they knew. She walked inside, not bothering to take off her soaked sneakers. Looking between them, Max had to admit it was a step above Kaoru accidentally insulting Iggy. Her wings shook a little bit when she entered, mostly to get the rain that had soaked the feathers out. It didn't do much.
She progressed past her training area, dummies and weapons strewn about the room rather haphazardly. She did manage to squeeze out some of the rain in her braid, but it pooled in her hand and so she wiped it on her soaked shirt. Past the room and into the kitchen she went, stomach rumbling at the smell of food.
"What type?" Not that it mattered. Max ate almost anything Iggy cooked.
