Now, Cloud was no stranger to world travel. He knew there were quite a few different worlds out there, and in his travels, he had visited them all.
He had not, however, ever come across or even heard of Rivelata. Not only that, but people here were speaking of even more worlds that Cloud had never known of -- and he wasn't sure what to think of that. Of course, it was more the fact that he hadn't even intended to leave Radiant Garden in the first place that had raised reason for concern

Tifa was disturbed, to say the least. She'd been told that Cloud might return, but actually witnessing it, after what she'd seen...
She hadn't been in this place very long, but she thought that was almost... perversely cruel. Would he disappear again? Would another Cloud that knew her arrive in his place, and then die too?
What kind of place gave you back your loved ones, only to pull them away in a blink of an eye?
Tifa was quiet and solemn as she followed behind Yuffie, unable to pull from her characteristic good cheer this time around. She'd never been the best at telling Cloud upsetting things...she'd never been the best at giving bad news.
Once she caught up to Yuffie, she gave Cloud a hesitant wave and smile, but little else. She'd leave Yuffie to explain it, and jump in when necessary.
Unlike Cloud, Yuffie was prone to talking, and talking a lot, to the point where even her friends wanted to tell her to shut up a good chunk of the time. But this time she was near speechless, simply because everything she wanted to say either wasn't relevant anymore and wouldn't be understood or would sound infinitely silly in this situation

It was true that Cloud had spent years separated from his friends, but even so, it was not so easy to just forget the traits and quirks of of the five friends he grew up with. He was used to Yuffie and her emotions -- so while the whack to the head was unexpected, it wasn't unusual

Tifa couldn't help but smile at Yuffie's "greeting" to Cloud, before her expression turned solemn again. It was odd, she thought, to be speaking to a doppelganger of sorts...to someone she recognized but did not know. The apology was expected, her Cloud and this Cloud apparently shared something in common--their penchant for leaving, and the guilt afterward.
She wondered if this one was still chasing after Aerith too. She'd told her own many times before that it was no way to live...and given the solemn behavior of the man in front of her, and the allusions to Darkness...she wouldn't be surprised.
He never let anyone in.
"It's...alright." she finally said, giving him a brighter smile this time, a genuine one. She didn't want to make him upset. She didn't want him to run away. "We're happy you're back. I missed you too."
