"Doubt I'll be talking to you if I were," Seifer scoffed lightly, making sure that the other, older man couldn't hear him. Then he questioned himself why he had bothered to keep his voice down. "No. Not really."
He regained his pace and walked in front of Laguna, knowing full well the man would follow. The market district was relatively crowded for the morning, familiar faces from the journals rushing toward their next destination. A few jostled past them and he cursed.
Walking aimlessly did not get you very far, however. Seifer abruptly stopped before a less-known Japanese restaurant and jabbed a finger at the signboard. "Good enough for you?"
"Not the wisest choice out there, President," Seifer repeated the words he'd said so many times, to so many different people. "Most of the food here's fucking spicy."
Fishing the menus from the edge of the small, quaint table, he handed one to Laguna, and ordered wasabi sushi with an extra cup of water for himself.
"So. What'd you wanna talk about?" Smirking a little, Seifer asked, locking his fingers at the base of his skull. "Nice weather today, eh?"

What... what had happened?
"Y-yeah, that's fine," Laguna replied, looking to see what they had to offer. "Mmmm... I think I'll just get whatever you're having."
