"Hurts," he grunted through clenched teeth, "Hurts. Morphine..."
Though thirst and hunger were among Yoite's physical demands, they were completely drowned out by the searing pain that made thoughts of anything else impossible.
His trembling hand reached blindly for his companion, and settled behind her neck, gloved fingers threading through her hair.

He had been worried when Matsuri did.
He was now panicking, since said boy happened to be clutching his daughter ward by the neck in a decidedly too personal manner.
The Doctor rushed onto the scene, eyes darting from boy to girl and back.
"Matsuri! Yoite! OY!" Skidding to a stop nearby, he just managed to catch Yoite's word-grunts. "Morphine? It's at the clinic! But I'm not so sure you should... not if we don't know what's up with you - " He placed two fingers against the side of his neck just below the jaw. "Your heartbeat's erratic... morphine might not be best, at least not at the moment. I know it's hard to speak, but bear with me - did you have medication of any kind? Any sort of condition?"

"Cardiac..." He murmured, "Heart medicine."
His other hand knotted his ragged trench and the scarf he kept over his heart, "Gone for a week now."
Coughs seized his body so roughly that it seemed like a seizure, his limbs scattering and twisting with each hack.
"hurts." he whispered, tears trickling from the corners of his eyes.
The coldness of his expression vanished as he gazed sightlessly toward Matsuri, looking all of fourteen years old, despite his tall height. He clung to her as one would something familiar, like a lifeline in a stormy sea.

"He... I took care of him before -- but he wasn't this bad!" She looked down at Yoite, and used the hand that wasn't helping to hold him up to wipe the tears from his eyes. She was almost holding him like a child -- despite how old she looked, the maturity she had gained over her centuries of living was finally cracking through for the first time. She wasn't being silly, or cracking jokes and teasing someone. She was being serious ( ... )

Mitsuru slided, halting herself as she nearly ran past them, a cloud of dust shooting up as she changed direction.
"Shiho! What's going on? Is everything alright?" Her hand rubbed the handle of her Evoker, hoping it would unjam long enough for her to call forth Penethselia and use Dia on the poor boy. Probably not, though. She was ready to dash to the clinic and get supplies if needed, however. At least it wasn't Apathy Syndrome.
"What should I do?"
