There would come a time where the constant whine of white noise became more than comfortably bearable, and though he still did possess his shamisen-- god forbid anything happen to it-- Bansai realised that the singing of steel as it cut through the air, how it would escalate in pitch before changing abruptly into a softer, more full-bodied sound when it'd finally gotten its taste of flesh and sinew was something he'd missed more than he cared to admit. With his headphones long dead it was one of the few things he had left that could count as a decent substitute for the now-absent beat he had been so used to ( ... )

"Wolfram?" Yuuri ascended the stairs rather quickly, noticing in the back of his mind that things were too quiet. It was odd, but he'd actually sort of missed the blond yelling at him all the time. He had reached their room and had his hand on the knob before he saw it.

Rather, he smelled it before anything. That metallic tang that only belonged to one substance... blood. There was a tiny trickle of it slipping out from underneath the door, and in that instant, Yuuri's heart skipped a beat. He frantically twisted the knob and opened the door, facing it head on.

Wolfram was lying on the floor in a puddle of blood, unmoving. Before he knew what he was doing, Yuuri rushed over to the other boy, flipping him onto his back and searching desperately for a pulse, a heartbeat, anything.

He was so wrapped up in worry that he didn't notice Bansai's presence in the room.
