WHO: Bansai (
bansai) and Shibuya Yuuri (
harajuku_fuuri)
WHAT: Bansai goes after the Maou-Heika in the worst way possible
WHERE: Outside of the Crimson Dragon
WHEN: Evening of Day 127 (July 25)
Things had actually been looking up. Yuuri felt he was making some sort of contribution to the Council, he had gotten to play baseball with Yamamoto-san and the others, and he was getting to know some of the locals well enough to consider them friends.
Perhaps the only downside was that everyone from his own world had changed. His mother was comatose in the clinic, had been for so many days that Yuuri had lost count, and Wolfram...
How best to explain? Wolfram barely talked to Yuuri anymore; he'd been distant and outright hostile to the Japanese boy, and when Yuuri had pressed him for conversation, Wolfram would only respond in one-word answers.
Yuuri kept telling himself to try harder; that he would try to get to the bottom of whatever was bothering Wolfram and make it better. Perhaps the Mazoku was homesick. That was understandable. In a way, Yuuri was, too.
He had reached the outside of the inn where he'd taken up living, the Crimson Dragon. He'd struck a deal with the innkeeper to perform little chores around the place to earn his keep. It was almost comical to think of what all the people of Shin Makoku would say - their Maou, reduced to manual labor for room and board?
In any case, he resolved to talk to Wolfram as soon as he got back to their room.
