There were a couple of important things Hiruma understood about the werecurse from his previous experience. They were that (a) it hurt like a motherfucker, like your entire body was being twisted and pulled through a hole the size of a pinhead and that (b) you really wanted to go outside.
But, outside was dangerous. The incident with Sam on the full moon had pissed the vampire off (understandably) and now she would probably shoot anything that even remotely had the "stench" of the curse on them (personally, Hiruma didn't think it was SUCH a bad smell...). He didn't know Riku very well, but he wasn't going to let that happen to anyone if he could help it. So, he'd left Claire at home, promised her he'd be back soon, and gone to the most likely place in Riv for a cat to go; the park.
Hiruma wasn't afraid of getting scratched or bitten. The healing scars on his face and arms and everywhere were proof enough that he'd been through worse. So he called out, "OI, RIKU. I know you're here." I can smell you.
Not AGAIN. He took a few extra seconds to grab a bucket or two of water before racing after the white blur. It wasn't that hard- Sena knew inwardly that he was much faster than Riku(not that Riku knew about his increase in speed).
"Riku!" He called out, only to be surprised by the sight of Hiruma. "Hiruma-san," he added as he went up to the blond teenager. And then the scent hit him.
CAAAAAAT!!! The voice inside of him snarled, and it took all of Sena's willpower not to stagger.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.
Of course he'd be bitten by an animal that so obviously hated Riku's werecat side.
Hiruma placed a hand on Sena's shoulder and gave him a dark look. "Maybe you better stay over here, puppy."
Hiruma would have none of that hiding stuff. His improved hearing allowed him to pinpoint the location of the white cat scrambling to get into the bushes.
"Riku, get out of that bush with your paws up! I'm taking your fuzzy white ass home so that the vampire bitch doesn't skin you alive."
The teen growled, approaching the bush slowly, eyes trained for a glint of white fur. He should have brought a goddamn net. Oh well.
Sena winced and looked away. It hurt that he couldn't help his childhood friend and brother.
But what could he do? If he took one step closer, there was no telling if he'd still be in control. Sighing, he put the buckets down.
"The water should be able to knock him back to his senses in a little while," he told Hiruma and backed away from the area Riku was hiding at(and doing a poor job because Sena could hear his every movement and Riku was horrid at hiding his scent, really).
CAAAAAAAT! DESTROY! NOW!Sena blanched and clutched his head, willing the voice to just SHUT THE HELL UP. Geez, what would Mamori-neechan say
