It took her a few minutes longer to leave the house than she’d expected; the paper had been hard to find, and then she had misplaced her pen. But finally, note scribbled out on a piece of paper and left on the kitchen counter, she left the home and made her way to the tea shop.
Miranda was almost glad to get out of the house and see someone she recognized from her world; she missed the familiarity. As much as she enjoyed the time she spent doing other things (sometimes - it depended what was going on, really), this was something nice. Something she enjoyed.
She hurried her steps to the tea shop, hoping that she had not kept the other exorcist waiting long. But when she saw him down the street making his way to the tea shop, she felt a little more relieved. She wasn’t that late at all. “L-lavi!” Miranda called out, quickening her steps until she’d finally caught up with him.
He broke out of his thoughts when she called his name, and smiled widely at her. "Hey, Miranda." He opened the door to the teahouse and allowed her through first. Lavi continued to be as much of a gentleman as he could, pulling out Miranda's chair for her to sit once they found a table.
He looked straight at her once they were settled, noting how distracted she looked. "How's everything going? Where are you living now?" He laughed, realizing how intrusive the question might sound. "I mean, I haven't seen you around the Exorcist Headquarters, so I assumed you weren't there anymore."
