WHO: Lavi and Miranda, for now
WHAT: It's a little lonely
WHERE: Moonflower Teas
WHEN: Evening, after Miranda's latest entry.
Lavi made his way to the tea place he'd told Miranda to meet him at. It was strange in a way, to actually have to make plans to see the other Exorcists. They had been so disjointed since their arrival here, and Lavi hated to admit that he understood why. It was much too difficult to stay close with each other when death lurked around every corner. The recent loss of the General just proved it again.
Lavi was disturbed to find that Cross' death hadn't affected him as much as he thought it would. There was a dull ache; a concern, of course, but otherwise, he felt empty.
Was this really what happened to Bookmen? Did they just... stop caring? Was this numbness normal? Lavi had been angry before; angry that he had to just record death instead of preventing it, but the emptiness was a new thing he wished hadn't set in.
