Max held Pumpkin close to her chest and the basket of food on the arm. She opened Jojo's door to find a cat perched on the two-inch Who's chest, effectively pinning him to the floor.
It was nuzzling him. Max shut the door with her foot and set Pumpkin, her boy kitten, down along with the basket before picking Jojo's cat up off his chest. "It's really not that big. Jaguars are even bigger." Max commented as she held the white thing. She set it next to Pumpkin and dug around for two saucers and milk, which she fed to the two cats.
"The orange one is Pumpkin," Max said offhandedly.
Two cats? Two, now? Jojo wasn't so sure he was comfortable with two of the monstrous things in his room.
He had to admit, though - they were cute monstrous things. He watched as his white cat, still nameless - what was he supposed to name her anyway? - gave her new orange playmate the evil eye across the milk bowl. Jojo immediately worried after Pumpkin's well-being.
"Pumpkin. That's... er, nice," he said, stretching himself out and checking to make sure all his bones were intact. "And she's plenty big for me - " here the white one meowed loudly at him " - so she might as well be a jaguar. I was thinking of Milky or Blanca, but they sound too nice..."
His cat seemed to be staring at him over the milk saucer. He crossed his arms and plopped down on the desk, frowning back.
"Thanks for the milk and stuff, Max. I think I'd be cat food by now if you hadn't brought it."
Max shrugged as she sat down. "Whatever you want to name him. My black Scottie," She actually missed the darn thing, didn't she? "Was named Total." She gave him a half-grin. "He talked a lot." She streched her legs out, crossing them and leaning back on her palms. "Don't worry about Pumpkin." The orange cat stopped drinking and wandered back to her, attempting to climb up on her thighs. Max leaned up and placed the kitten in her lap, rubbing him until he purred happily.
"See?" She grinned lovingly at the sleepy thing. "He's harmless."
"It's not him I'm worried about. Oh no." His white one had come back to him, and was starting bat at him with her paws, and threatened a lick which, for the Who, would've knocked him off of his feet. Jojo scrambled around to avoid her until he slipped on a puddle of milk that had dripped from her whiskers and ended up pinned again, this time under a napping cute monstrosity.
"I can't name her Lucifer if she's a girl, can I," he said blandly.
"Lucie?" Max offered, grinning as the white cat toyed with Jojo. Max stroked Pumpkin. "She's just being friendly." In any case, Pumpkin was asleep on her lap and she wouldn't shove the kitten off.
Thank God Fang wasn't here to see this. He would've made fun of her for such sappy emotions.
Speaking of sappy emotions- No.
Max rubbed Pumpkin's chin, feeling him stir and fall back asleep. "She's certainly white enough to be an Angel," But that name made her homesick for the youngest of her flock. She quickly amended, "But of course you think she's evil?"
Max grinned. It wasn't really sandpaper. But she supposed it would be rough for Jojo. "She just likes you."
Bad memories and smelling like prey. Max made a mental note to keep Pumpkin away from birds.
Pumpkin yawned and turned over in her lap, exposing his belly, which Max rubbed. "Pumpkin's lazy," She commented idly. She would need to visit Kobacha and Sena sometime.
"I wish Lucie were lazy," he said, sighing. He made a vain attempt to wriggle out of her grasp, making the cat hug him tighter.
"Argh, where did they come from, anyway? Some kind of by-product of the whole curse thing that was going around?" He wondered, idly, if these things were dangerous. He shook his head. They were too cute, for one, and people would be more careful than that, for another. Still, he had to ask. "They aren't... you know... dangerous or anything, are they?"
Max shrugged slowly, extending her wings a little. Why in the world Pumpkin had fallen for her so quickly was amazing, but it was probably just the lack of attention. It was a clingy little thing.
The irony. She was part bird, and he was a cat.
"I know he isn't," She rubbed the kitten's belly again. "But Lucie might. Seeing how she's so evil." Max rolled her eyes and reached over to pet Lucie.
"Well, if you say so." Max was a revolutionary leader; he would trust her judgment. "Wait, I wouldn't - "
He flailed a little too late as Lucie nipped at Max's finger.
"I'm so sorry - Lucie, BAD kitty! - I told you she's evil..." He twisted around and attempted to wag his finger at his cat's face. "No, bad Lucie! Don't bite Max, bad!"
The cat only sniffed at him and gently took the majority of his head into her mouth. At this point the Who went completely still, his arms frozen in mid-flail. A muffled yelp sounded from inside the white cat's mouth.

"Weren't you napping!?" he protested to the white ball curled on top of him. The cat purred loudly. Jojo plastered his face to the floor.
"I'll stick with Lucie," he grumbled.
