Jojo was a little frightened, a little confused, and more than a little out of breath. Being snuggled by a cat that was several sizes larger than you was a breathtaking thing.
And then there was the purring. The sound coming from the depths of the kitty's throat was hardly comforting for the Who - purring's good, Max had written - rather, it reminded him of the sound his little sisters' stomachs made when they'd been woken too early and had to wait a few extra minutes before breakfast.
