Cautiously, she walked around the town, looking for this place. Actually, she knew where it was, had passed it twice, but wanted to look like she had something else on her mind. She did not wish to be the first there because that would show an unwanted urgency and need for a dress. That would show how much she wanted to go, and she needed to be more nonchalant about it, like she was just going because everyone else was. Not because her love had asked her. He drove her mad. Just when she had gotten back from retrieving new clothing, he just had to ask her to a ball! The Lady Subaru smiling, her cheeks warming. The third time of passing by the shop was too much and she finally decided to go in ( ... )

As she entered the shop, very slowly, she heard a faint voice. Her eyes shifted around the room, and she prepared herself as she heard footsteps. Obviously, Subaru did not indulge in the average life of a girl. But as of late... she had been trying... and she had...

She found herself staring at a young man looking much too chipper for being up so early. It actually endeared her enough to loosen her posture just slightly, let the door close behind her, and not hold her weapon so tightly. Warmly, she smiled at him and gave a small nod of her head. "Yes, I spoke earlier to..." Lulu said there was two of them, but dear God, which one was it, "...the shop about a white dress for the ball?" Strongly, she held out her hand to introduce herself before they went any further. "My name is Subaru."

Claire didn't get out too early to head to the Eagle's Splendor, as she had known full well that that would have meant Max would try to get out of it on account of that.

So noon it was, and she'd given them both explicit instructions to meet her there.

Getting there a little early was just as a precaution that Max didn't claim she'd gotten there early and had left when no one had come.

She was thinking ahead. Good thing, too.

Opening the door, she looked around with a smile, moving to sit on one of the couches to wait for either Max or Sena to arrive. Or both.

Reluctantly, Sena headed off to Eagle's Splender after being asked to by Claire. For clothes shopping. For some reason, he somewhat dreaded this trip. It wasn't that he hated shopping- it was alright by him. But with Claire becomming more and more like Hiruma by each passing day...he was frankly rather worried. He fiddled with the sleeves of his almost too big hoodie(which he found himself wearing a lot, despite the weather).

He stepped inside the shop and found said Hiruma-like girl sitting on the couch. Smiling, because Claire was still a nice person even though she did exhibit Hiruma-like traits and well, it was polite, he greeted her politely as he always did with people.

Max sullenly walked to the Eagle's Splendor. She had memorized Danny's measurements, watching him sleep for a decent length of time had that effect on people, just in case she saw something worth her attention. Not that it would be, considering all the glitzy and utterly useless things the shop carried.

Perhaps they'd have another plain shirt she could have as well.

Max opened the door, her eyes scanning for Claire, who, no surprise, was already present and looking very smug. "Well, there goes my plan." The hybrid called out. She was only here because it was part of the deal, and nothing else. The other person Max disregarded, wasn't he one of Hiruma's friends?

AFTERNOON DELIGHT :: EARLY EVENING poetryinfashion May 28 2008, 08:55:56 UTC
Re: AFTERNOON DELIGHT :: EARLY EVENING ennegrecida May 28 2008, 16:12:13 UTC
Maya had never attended a masquerade ball. There were always parties in her town, but never anything overly formal unless weddings counted. The last wedding she attended...she still felt sick to her stomach at the thought. Alejandro, his bride, their friends, and family on the ground not knowing who did this to them. This curse, but no - this new ball, she was going with Gabriel, she was going to be beautiful, she was going to control herself, yet have fun all at once.

And, of course, it would require a dress.

She arrived early in the evening, shyly opening the door, the little bell signalling her arrival. Fingers danced over the displays, marveling at the embroidery, how classic these dresses were, but where would she start? Maya waited, hoping someone would come to her assistance.

"I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting!" Kaoru insisted as he approached the woman. "Hello, I'm Hitachiin Kaoru and welcome to Eagle's Splendour! Are you looking for a dress for the event?"

He tried not to overwhelm her too much with information until he knew what her intentions were for coming to the store.

Maya smiled, twirling a lock of hair around one finger, and surveying the room again. Where was she supposed to begin? Thankfully she was approached by a young, redhead asking her if she needed any assistance. A hero coming just in time before she drowned in piles of beautiful fabric, pearls, and lace.

"Si!" She piped up, smiling sweetly. "I don't - have these dresses home."
