Jade looked cross. But then, that was a rather habitual expression for him.
Especially in this Lorelai-forsaken world where everything always went wrong.

"So now my room has become the usual place", he complained, his tone acidic, "Let's attempt to keep everyone unharmed and blood off my floor this time."

He absentmindedly rearranged a few items on his desk.

"It's true that you aren't proving very useful at the moment. And that I didn't spare your life to get nothing in return. What would you require to build all those contraptions? Did you talk to Dist or Guy about it? They know a lot more about fon machines than I do."

Jade's eyebrows crept up at Zach's answer, and he did a quick cost-benefit analysis of keeping the hacker around. On one hand, he had done terrible things to Peony and wringing his scrawny little neck would be quite enjoyable, on the other he was very capable when it came to information gathering and that left him with more time to work on his own projects.

His eyes narrowing, he answered Zach, "I do not believe that that talking back to me is a wise choice... especially when you are here needing supplies which I may be able to provide you if you behave, that is. And if you can explain to me why you need them."

He extended a hand towards Zach. "Do you have this 'cell phone' of which you speak of? Let me show you just how useful I can be."
