Citizens of Rivelata,I must apologize for not speaking on this matter sooner. The truth is... I was frightened. However, after speaking with the Chancellor at length, I have decided that this is indeed important for everyone to know, and important for me to do ( Read more... )

What have I written that you do not trust?

There are several uses of the word 'perhaps' but the future is never certain. The only thing certain is that if we do nothing, then that is all we will ever receive in return.

Whatever you need Your Majesty, you can be sure I will be there to aid in what I can.

Thank you, Larsa. I will not need your help much longer, but the Chancellor will, and the General too. Rivelata will need it, or Mr. Lamperouge is right - another tyrant could just take Zikhadhara's place. I do not want that for my people.

No honest ruler would, Your Majesty and your concern for your people will not go unrewarded. I am sure your efforts shall strengthen the bond between us and we may all work towards bridging differences.

The Council is what I think to be a crucial part of your rule. I am committed to it and shall remain so.

It is my sincerest hope that the Chancellor will use the Council to rule as I had intended to. I am glad to know you will remain committed to seeing it flourish.

I sincerely doubt that anyone is foolish enough to hand over something so powerful. Why should we trust you?

Because I am doing this out of love for my people, as one of my last acts.

Anyone could say that. Where is the proof of your intent?

I think that perhaps the citizens would feel more comfortable if they would be allowed to keep the crystals in their possession and accompany your Scribe to the Garnet of Journeys.

Eh?

So what should we do, Yuuko-san?

I will take the crystals to the docks, but I will not hand them over. I intend to go to the Garnet of Journeys myself, and to witness what will happen.

This involves us both, Mokona. If you wish to accompany me, I will not forbid it.

Of course, Mokona will go with you!

Mokona doesn't want to think that Yuuko-san will never come back and leave Mokona all alone but... Mokona is really worried about this...

I believe I possess one of the crystals you speak of, Your Majesty. It feels very familiar to me, as though it is similar to something from my own world.

I do feel people would be more willing to hand them over if someone they knew and trusted, perhaps themselves, were able to travel with the Scribe.

That would be such a dangerous task, though, Garnet... I am doing this so that no one else will be hurt by him.
