Ok all you electricians, or so called theatre technicians, here is an idea for a multi-wrench I came up with. Please tell me if you have ever seen one and/or do you think it is a good idea before i make the prototype.

for the axial rotation nut slot...at least on the lights here, you wouldn't be able to get much rotation out of it if it is that far up on the wrench.

yeah someone else also suggested that too. But here is my thought on that, tell me what you think. i have almost never seen one that i really needed much travel on. You should never really wrench that nut down anyway. (maybe a 1/6 turn passed finger, you know)Maybe if i flopped the axial nut slot and the C-clamp bolt that would help. But, i think the only way to really gain and travel would be to lose the lanyard hole and put the slot there. (which would making a mold and pouring my own C-wrench rather than machining one like i want to do and have the ability to do too)

you have a point about the bolt not really needing much tightening. Still, many people (who don't appreciate the ease of focusing intruments) love to over tighten those bolts. Maybe moving up towards the head of the wrench, where the neck is a little narrower, would be the answer, since a narrower pivot point would make for more movement room.

I'd love to own one of these things.

Thats a good point too. I'll consider that.

Looks good. What program did you draft that on?

I used Vector Works. The draft is done to scale, and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to draw a C-wrench...its a bitch.

i know right... and yes rit, i'd buy this wrench, and no complaints on the axial location, only, can you rig it to make expresso? cause that'd be sweet

Yeah i thought about that too. Here's the deal. The draft and the drawing posted here both have a time stamp. So, if anyone does try to steal my idea i have proof that i had it first. Plus i am going to try and patent it next week.

As far as the expresso...I think that may be a little much to keep in your pocket or hand from your belt. However, i am working on a bottle opener idea. Beer is better for you anyway
