i hope she's okay too.

there aren't many things that are guaranteed in life. with that in mind, i am prepared to give you a rock solid, iron-clad guarantee that you will LOVE the man who fell in love with the moon. it will consume you; you will devour it. you have never read anything like it.

adobo is one of my favourite things in the world. i LOVELOVE the chicken one with coconut milk, omg. delicious. BUT highly dangerous in terms of calories. haha.

pork is just as good. i guess it's the filipina in me that goes crazy for vinegary foods. mmmm.

and hahaha @ someone giving you a scrunchie! it wasn't a gift, was it?

there's this gorgeous girl that i used to teach last year. stunning, slim blonde girl. VERY smart and articulate. anywho, she used to wear scrunchies... now THAT's a girl not concerned with appearance.

I hope your mom is alright!

Have you read The Handmaid's Tale or Oryx & Crake by Margaret Atwood? Oryx & Crake is one of my favourite novels, but then I'm sort of a sucker for anything end of the world. It is pretty intelligent though, and definitely got me thinking about the evolution of science and pushing ethical boundaries.

I read Timothy Findley's Not Wanted on the Voyage first semester this year, and it was something else, lemme tell you. You may enjoy it too.

I'd say more about the novels, but I'm half-asleep and not really functioning all that well this morning. It's got to have something to do with the huge shift at work that's coming up this afternoon.
