Books
so people, i need you to recommend me some books to read.
went to the library on Friday and for the first time EVAR, i was NOT fulfilled!!! felt like a teenage boy being forced to read by his teacher!~ picked up a million books, to read the blurb and get a feel. tossed each one back on the shelf, going, "Boring! ... Boring!... Gay!... Boring..."
omg, what's happening to me??????????? so need some serious help with titles available in a public library!
ended up getting an E Annie Proulx novel (can't remember the title) and a VERY pulpy australian crime novel by Kathryn Fox (i think). am reading it just to read (fairly easy, no brain strain... AT ALL!) and it feels like a big Scrunchie. as in, Sex and The City... Scrunchie for your hair... all WRONG. like, you can tell the writer may have something to tell and has taken some "how to write" email lessons.
i do like my crime fiction tho. prefer pulpy reading atm as i am on holidays! Stephen King, John Grisham are big favourites. easy to read... but i think i've read about everything both of those guys have done???
finished reading a margaret Attwood (M.A. = ♥ ) novel called "alias Grace" about Grace Marks, an irish immigrant to canada who was imprisoned for 30 yrs for the murder of her erm, housekeeper.
OH OH i MIGHT go and get myself the new Ben Elton novel. don't really feel like buying a book at the moment tho. his stories are GREAT tho. very funny and extremely tight.
also, the new Thomas Harris book about Hannibal Lector's early days looks great.

mother admitted to hospital this morning.
