No school today! Hooray for three-day weekends made possible by faculty work days! I had every intention of sleeping in, but I still ended up waking at 6:30am. It's a good two hours later than the time I usually wake, but I still don't think that waking at anything before 8:00 merits the term "sleeping in ( Read more... )

I love Chef Tim.

They're little buttons! (And by little, I mean that they're probably bigger than regular buttons, but that all food in the shape of objects is automatically adorable and little.)

He is such a great man. I'm so happy he's my program chair.

I would not argue with that!

I DIDN'T PLAN IT THAT WAY BUT THERE I AM, SLOWLY BECOMING THE JULIE HALF OF JULIE AND JULIA. I AM GLAD THAT THIS IS BEING WELL-RECEIVED BY YOUR STOMACH.

I know, right? He nearly has me doubled over with laughter with practically everything he says.

Chef Tim is awesome. What a cool guy.

GAH. I want to come live with you for a month - pay rent and a little more for one piece of every yummy treat you make. :D

See, I figured Cera was miscast. I mean, Scott does fail miserably at being cool but the thing is, when he tries, HE TRIES. Cera doesn't try. He can't look like he's trying unfortunately.

He definitely is. I wish you all could meet him so you could get the full experience of what makes him so great.

I would not say no to that!

Agreed on all points. There's this part in the first book that I absolutely love where Kim accuses him of dating Knives for ulterior motives and Scott gets overdramatic and completely bug-eyed in shock at the accusation; Cera didn't even really try to capture that, which was disappointing, to say the least.

Love your pictures as I can almost taste everything.

I'm looking forward to watching Scott Pilgrim. I love Michael Cera, but I feel like he does the same type of acting in everything. Still. Love him.

Thank you :D The idea is to take lots of pictures for not just my journal but my portfolio for when I start applying to bakeries and restaurants, too, so if they're getting that kind of reaction from you, I guess I'm doing it right!

Agreed, he does kind of have just the one mode. He wasn't completely distracting in this movie, but I still think there are other actors that would have befit the character better.
