Things I've done lately:

-met up with itsagoddamnriot in San Francisco
-experienced a bit of an allergic reaction on my eyelids
-watched a lot of Lost (I'm up to 2x18)
-almost left Kimberly's Christmas gift behind in a J.Crew dressing room (not my proudest moment)
-finally put together my Sharp Teeth casting post!

Huzzah!

Exactly, there's something for those who have read it, and for those who haven't (hello, pictures of pretty people!)

1) That book sounds really interesting and intriguing!
2) You used one of my favorite Amy pictures! (See icon.)
3) Those brothers look like brothers! A++, Anne! I mean that.
4) I CAN TOTALLY SEE MATTHEW GOODE AS SOMEONE NAMED LARK. THIS SHOULD HAPPEN.
5) THAT PAIRING IS TOTALLY AMAZING/AWESOME, OMG, LET'S SEE LEAP YEAR TOGETHER EVEN THOUGH WE ARE ON OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE COUNTRY SPECTRUM GEOGRAPHICALLY.
6) You cast Peter Sarsgaard? Well, I never (would have guessed)!
7) Amy and Matthew, Amy and Matthew, Amy and Matthew!
8) Have you read April and Oliver? It's one of those books that I would loooove to see someone cast. I would do it if I had ANY clue/talent when it comes to casting. So, you should read it! So that you can do that.

1) It is! You should read it, HINT HINT.
2) I knew that that picture was familiar, but I couldn't place where I had seen it before. It turns out it was from you!
3) The younger brother was probably the hardest character for me to cast, and I went through about four other actors before I came upon Theo, and then it all clicked into place. So yes, it was a hard-earned A++, Claire!
4) WHEN IT COMES TIME TO CAST THE MOVIE, I WILL CAMPAIGN MY BUTT OFF ON BEHALF OF MATTHEW FOR LARK. NO OTHER WILL DO.
5) LET'S! WHAT'S A FEW THOUSAND MILES BETWEEN US?
6) Eh, what can I say, I'm a person of limited interests!
7) Yes, yes, yes!
8) I have not, but I shall look for it the next time I'm at the library or book store. And then I will read it. So that I can cast it. :D

1) I will look into it!
2) Oh, really? Neat!
3) I had a feeling you really thought about these. So often, these imagined castings were clearly not well thought out, but yours definitely is. It's a great mix of well-known and lesser-known actors.
4) I WILL SUPPORT YOU IN THIS ENDEAVOR, if only so I can hear Matthew say "Lark" in interviews.
5) NOTHING!
6) Limited, but gooooood, interests!
7) YAYAYAYYAYAYY!
8) That's what I like to hear! It's by Tess Callahan. It's romantic and painful and heartbreaking and so many things. barilace is a huge fan, if you're friends with her?

3) Thank you! I have a tendency to cast people whenever I'm reading a book because I'm a fairly visual person, so when it was time to put faces to the names, I go with whomever I pictured before.
4) I would listen to that man say just about ANYTHING.
8) I just read a description of it on Amazon, and I am most intrigued. And no, I am sadly not a friend of hers, but I shall check out her journal.

OMG SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CAST A+++

You know you've already got my interested what with the fanmix and the Joe/Zooey and the fact that you love it this much speaks very highly of it, but this line: Anthony in love is unlikely
in its grace TOOK my breath away. Just WOW. I feel an urgent need to read it now.

Thanks so much for the comm pimp!

You definitely need to read it, then, because there are quite lines in it that are of the "take your breath away" variety. I'd quote them, but then I'd only end up copying and pasting the entire freaking book.

You're welcome! The comm is based on such a great idea and needs to have more members to appreciate it!

This casting is so spot on! I need to get my own copy of Sharp Teeth so I can reread it whenever I want!

Um, and that picture of Peter Sarsgaard is...Well, I had to do a double take and then I couldn't stop staring.

Thank you! I'm glad you agree with my choices. Apparently Amazon has it in hardcover for $9. I'm tempted to order a copy so I can keep that one at home and have my paperback copy available to loan out to friends.

Haha, was it because of the hair?
