There are two things I got out from this. First, Aizen's still delusional. I saw your introductory paragraph as both being true on the narrative and character-level. In this case, I think you succeeded making Aizen sound like an unrepentant criminal stuck in his cell, musing about all the ways he's made people suffer. You've given him a massively inflated sense of self-importance - which, interesting enough, you deflate later by adding that he's still reliant on the sympathy of others.

Second, I think the length is just right. The way you structure the entire story makes it appear as if this revolution around Aizen is just a mere afterthought. It's long enough to be a scheme, and brief enough to be a daydream. Which would be fitting of someone stuck in prison for a long time.

On a completely separate note, I had problems with LJ cut too. I had to manually type out my entry in HTML for the tags to work.

I had heard that LJ went....kookie, since I had to hiatus for a bit. On that note, thank you for the wonderful review!

You're right...it all does revolve around him. Aizen is the spider at the center of the web - even being locked away, he still has feelers out there. Testing, taunting, waiting for the right moment to strike.
