It all revolves around him.
Urahara came to taunt him on occasion. Hirako once a week, without fail, went to see him. Even in the dimmest edge of how he could sense people he felt Kurosaki linger on the outside of his cell to check and make sure the monster was still in there.
The throne was still empty of worth. Someone should have taken up the reigns and he would have been perfect for it now an unworthy person was coming to claim it. The stirs of the left over Quncies grew over the years with only occasional interference. When everything had worked out perfectly the imbalance would have been fixed.
Hirako didn’t come for two weeks. Urahara fell off the map for a few days, along with Kurosaki. Ichigo had nearly been their first fatality.
Sousuke smirked. They wouldn’t let him stay safe and unchecked in this cell much longer. Someone partially sympathetic would be better on the throne.
Soon enough, they will make the same mistake.
