The Humanities Department May Have Been A Little Bit On Fire.

You people are amazing. Absolutely amazing. I love you and your hilarity and the way you are always so wonderfully reassuring when I need it. But most of all, I love the fact that, when I jokingly ask for fanfiction about Jeremy Clarkson failing at university, people will actually write it.

I have such insane good Internet friends ( Read more... )

I APPROVE OF THIS PLAN.

Of course! ♥

If I have trouble getting connected, I'll try to send you a text, but apparently the campus is a mobile phone blackspot as well as a rubbish place for TV reception. STUPID CAMPUS.

OH NO YOU DO NOT GET OUT OF USING YOUR PHONE THAT EASILY. I expect it to be on all the time, missy. AND YES I WILL CALL YOU AT THREE IN THE MORNING TO CHECK.

Interceptor was the best dog ever! After that, the dog-sidekicks steadily declined until they did not exist at all.

Interceptor: AWESOMETASTIC.
Dark Nation: Pretty cool, yeah.
Angelo: ....ehn.

AND THEN THERE WAS NONE.

Has you an emulator? I would always never suggest piracy, of course, but a SNES or PS1 emulator on your laptop can go a long way in making up for a lack of game system.

And, hey, you can play FFVI on either one!

I am far too serious about my RPGs to rename my characters if they come with official names, generally. They're the most profound form of fiction I experience, and I'm not particularly shy about letting people know that, even if it's Horribly Uncool to take anything too seriously on the intarwebz.

Though raimei and I did once make an exception for Secret of Mana, and name the girl hero Irnbru. The conversation went something like this.

raimei: I DUNNO WHAT TO NAME MY CHARACTEEEERRRRRR
eclective: *looks around room for inspiration* *sees bottle of IRN BRU* You could name her IRNBRU.
raimei: WHAT.
eclective: IRNBRUUUU.
raimei: *typing in name*
eclective OHGOD I WASN'T ACTUALLY SERIOUS
raimei la la la
eclective YOU'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO DO IT *peals of laughter*

...from then on we collapsed into helpless stomach-clutching hysterics every time the girl was mentioned. I have no idea in retrospect what made it quite so funny. But at the time it slayed us.

Well, I started to giggle at '*typing in name*' and couldn't stop, so there's obviously something hilarious about it. Heeee!

Well, you already know what I've named all the FFVIII people, but for those who don't know my genius renaming scheme ( ... )

Cerberus is called Richard as in Hammond because it's a threeheaded dog

My logic:

It is a dog.
I already have a dog called Richard which I have yet to see in action, and considering Harry's coma state, probably won't ever.
I should have a dog called Richard which I will definitely see in action.
I need a GF called Richard to complete the GF/Top Gear theme.
It's either Richard or Fluffy.

MY LOGIC IS FLAWLESS I TELL YOU.

I would also like the public to know that, before she lost her first set of saved data, she had named Quezacotl 'Harry'. Which I thought was absolute genius. I AM THE TERRIFYING GOD OF THUNDER, AND MY NAME IS... um... Harry?
