The Fact That Josh Is A Terrible Singer Just Makes It Cuter.

Last night's episode of Waterloo Road (6.06) was really upsetting. I was on the verge of tears several times. Sam! You are lovely, Sam! reipan and I were exchanging texts throughout the episode that boiled down to 'we need to give poor Sam all the hugs', with a side of 'LOOK WHAT HAPPENS TO SAM WHEN AN EPISODE NEGLECTS JOSH'S GAYFACE ADVENTURES' (of ( Read more... )

crossovers, weird pairings, waterloo road, rei is prince of cats, glee, programmes from riona's mind, someone should probably write that

More soap opera discussions need the phrase "Perhaps they could both be mermen."

You're making me want to watch more soap operas just so I can speculate on alternative underwater versions. But I'm not going to. Perhaps I can just ask my soap-watching housemate what a subaquatic version of Emmerdale would be like.

Exactly the same.

Riona: What would Emmerdale be like if all the characters were mermaids? Sort of urgent.

Riona's Housemate: If anyone else asked me that apart from you, it'd probably qualify as the weirdest thing they'd ever asked me... Probably still fabulous and better than EastEnders though.

So, yes, 'exactly the same' it apparently is.

The trouble is that Sharkey is more likely to commit crime than to bust it, and Josh is easily led. They would be the worst underwater crimebusters ever.

It would be Mirrorverse crimebusting, then. Sharkey and Josh commit crimes, and then Sharky and George travel through the bleed (WARNING COMICS REFERENCE) to solve them and bring them to justice.

Or, conversely, you could just have them as villains. The Villainous Escapades of Sharky and Josh would, I feel, be just as hilarious to watch. Especially since they'd probably be bad at it.

If you wrote Josh/Kurt, I would read it. So who cares that my knowledge of Josh pretty much comes from you and you alone, and my knowledge of Kurt is, perhaps, slightly better? I still can come to the conclusion that they'd be mope-y and sadface, with Josh sort of uncomfortable because Kurt, but Kurt manages to beat him down and invite him over and they eat ice cream while listening to the soundtrack from...uh, Le Mis because Kurt thinks it's good for atmosphere. And then Josh musters up the courage to maybe ask some questions, and Kurt of course wants to know if Josh can sign, and it is blustery and awkward because Josh cannot, which is a Great Disappointment. Then Kurt decides to give Josh a makeover that Josh is powerless to escape.

...oh dear.

TO REPEAT: my knowledge of Josh pretty much comes from you and you alone, and my knowledge of Kurt is, perhaps, slightly better. I cannot write this. But YOU CAN.

This comment makes me smile a great deal! I'm actually making little 'awww!'ing noises as I read it. This fic needs to exist.

Kurt of course wants to know if Josh can sign

It took me a moment to realise you meant 'sing' here. I'd have dismissed it immediately as a typo were it anyone else, but of course you very well could have been talking about actual sign language.

I am glad to have made you smile! As mentioned, I so enjoy reading your entries, it's nice to once in a while return the favor.

...ahahaha... LOOK A DISTRACTION

I have to ask.

Is Sam (a) male or female, and (b) repressed or not repressed?

It's for serious statistical research, see.

Sam is female and... come to think of it, I don't think she's especially repressed. That's not very Samlike.

Actually, the repression is statistically less bad for female Sams than male ones! Cf. Sam Carter. Who, granted, is not a paragon of knowing how to deal with her emotions, but is not nearly so bad as, say, Sam Tyler. So.
