I can't write Torchwood fic! I'd have to rewatch the old series for characterisation purposes, and I don't really want to go back after the huge improvement of this week.

Torchwood is trying to outcompete 80s Zoids stuff for my Most Morbid Fandom, it seems. At least it didn't literally drop rocks on everyone to end the series due to low toy sales!

...am I horrible for expecting to have a lot of fun watching this? In a holycrapdidtheyjustwhat sort of way.

Are you reading spoilers? Tsk tsk tsk. (Can you be sure they didn't drop rocks?)

I'm glad it could amuse! (Obviously it was a bird. Silly Torchwood writers; they could easily have given people the wrong idea with the way they portrayed that scene.)

Would you like to know what I was hoping for with Frobisher? It was cheery, completely inaccurate, and only slightly incorporated birds.

I'm telling you anyway, because I've decided you need cheering.

I thought he was possibly a shapeshifting alien private detective who used to travel around with the Doctor, and had a fondness for looking like a penguin. Which would have been cute, but was sadly not true.

When Frobisher first appeared, I said "Well he doesn't look much like a penguin." :D

Which was the tricky thing. Because he's fully capable of not looking like a penguin. (Apparently, he once spent several years as a supermarket checkout stand, in order to be near this girl he was infatuated with.)

But it's not him. Which, considering the ending, was a relief.

I was mildly put off by Alice's inability to stop smiling.
yeah, that was a bit distracting. WTF?

also, pity Mr Frobisher didn't just go on the run with his family like everyone else. Over-reaction much? :D

I assume the idea was that he couldn't, because of the crowds outside his house. But, yes, perhaps he should have tried. Although that would have been risking his children being taken by the 456 if they were caught.

Mostly I'm just laughing at the inappropriateness of the ':D' there. (ALICE, IS THAT YOU?)
