Obama won! Obama won! I sort of wanted to dance my way into campus today. Thank you, America!

I feel that this really could be the start of a change for the better. Had I any video-editing skills, I would replace Troy's head in 'Start of Something New' with that of Obama. Possibly Gabriella's head, too ( Read more... )

It should indeed be 'loudly' in Standard English, but our descriptivist course encourages us to embrace other forms of the language, so you are forgiven.

And I also believe that Obama is probably going to be better for the general state of the world than McCain would have been.

Boo, America, for doing the gay marriage ban. At least they got things right with Obama.

...And I already made a ridiculous political manip yesterday, so Ryan and Sharpay at the WhitePink House is my official contribution.

At the moment my computer is not cooperating enough to let me go hunt down political pictures and so I will have to settle for putting in an imaginary manip.

Isn't it lovely? (Aww, man, I've just realized. I'm off today, I'm going to be home at the same time as my dad, he is going to be livid about this.)

I think the title of this post basically sums up your entire journal.

I've had the same journal subtitle for five years, and you've just inspired me to change it.

And then I thought 'well, as long as I'm changing things, I'm not really that into Doctor Who any more', and changed the default userpic I've had for three years.

NOW MY JOURNAL LOOKS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AND I AM DISTRESSED BY THIS. But, er, I suppose it's appropriate when America's just elected a president who stands for change?

Now I'm trying to remember what your old subtitle was.

It was 'vividarium intervigilium viator', and it was a reference to a puzzle in Final Fantasy VIII. 'Trabia Garden' is a reference to a location in the same game, 'Leonhart' is the surname of the main character, and 'Riona' was derived from 'Rinoa', the name of another character. My journal's just a big bundle of Final Fantasy VIII references. A slightly smaller bundle, perhaps, now that I've changed the subtitle.

I am a bit uneasy about changing the subtitle, because all of a sudden my username, title and subtitle are no longer from the same source, oh no! But 'vividarium intervigilium viator' doesn't really encapsulate the spirit of my journal quite as well as the new subtitle.

I, for one, welcome our new Time Lord overlord.

I would totally have voted against Proposition 8, but I was prevented from doing so by the fact that I was half a continent away. :< I did, however, help ensure that idiots can constitutionally vote in Iowa.

...no, actually, I'm not joking.

I brought your Obama-is-the-Master theory up on the train with a gentleman from my course and a couple of friends of his yesterday, and this led to my conversing on Doctor Who for the rest of the train journey with a man I didn't know. You helped me be vaguely social! For that, I thank you.

I did, however, help ensure that idiots can constitutionally vote in Iowa.

Oh, do tell.

The Iowa constitution, because state constitutions are all old and crazy, expressly forbid idiots and insane personsfrom voting. There was an amendment on the ballot to change that language to persons adjudged mentally incompetent to vote. I voted to change the language ^_^.

Right! I'd sort of imagined that perhaps people kept coming up to you to say 'Um, I'm here to vote, but I don't know how' or 'Which one is Obama again?', and you pointed them in the right direction.
