When I moved from Texas Minnesota was not at the top of the list. Other than family I didn't have any friends up here. (Except for old childhood ones I wasn't sure I wanted to connect with.) We spent a long time without friends. We had aquintences and we reached out and made a couple friends but it was at least 2 or 3 years before we had anyone we felt comfortable with talking to in depth. There was a lot of translation from Texas to Minnesota and it's easier to make friends in the south; up here you need to network friends. Rilla was a big help and so were ZirconMermaid, our friends gradually grew from there. What I am trying to say is that I understand. I've been there, it's not fun, but eventually it will change. Until then hold on tight and remember there are people who love and care about you.
