My Review of DragonCon (or “Where Did All of These People Come From?”)

Alright, here is the long anticipated DragonCon 2010 review! It's kinda lengthy, so I put it all under several cuts for your convenience.

Oh, that's so cool! Too bad we didn't have any way to recognize each other. Are you going to AWA? We'll be in the same costumes there.

By the way, how is working at pre-registration? I've considered volunteering, and I kinda thought that would be the job I'd want. Is it incredibly stressful, or is it fun?

Sorry, not going to AWA. I have a few friends that are going.

As far as volunteering goes, this year was hella stressful. They switched to a new system, and we got rather swamped. Hopefully, it shouldn't be that bad in 2011. They're switching to a new bar code system, which should cut the wait time to about 30 minutes. Other than that, working Registration is a lot of fun. We get to see people in their costumes, and they're rather nice (albeit a little cranky sometimes, which is to be expected).

Neat! I can't believe there's that many people attending Dragon*CON every year - how many did they estimate visited put together
