I'm still waiting for my family to pick me up, but I expect them pretty soon. (They do usually take a while to get going in the morning afternoon!)

It's definitely the baby. That is exciting!

Also, my husband had a pet tortoise as a child that he was very fond of but then it ran away (his words) which always struck me as rather funny.

I'm pretty sure when a McLeod starts quickening it has something to do with beheading another Immortal and absorbing their share of the life force.
