My Life Over the Last Six Months (A Promised Explanation)

Lots of people (particularly folks on Twitter) have been subjected to my somewhat frequent bouts of despair and depression over the last several months, and more than a few attempts at me needing to beg for help on a financial level. That certainly explains a lot.

I wanted to offer some support, but since I had no idea what precipitating issue was, I didn't see what I could do.

Sorry to hear that the teaching did not go as well as planned. I had been hoping to sign up once this semester was over.

It is good to hear that you have a long term project to work on now, with some other opportunities there. I know it can be frustrating to have to wait on the pay, but still great that you have a job.

Wow, life really kicked you in the balls. :( In spite of the monumental suck, you're still reaching for the good stuff, so that's more than a positive direction. The keystone here is, IMO, that you've not let this experience push you into repeated episodes of the same.

If you'll pardon the cliche, this is sincere: You'll make it through. Keep working toward that goal with the project and beyond.

Mistakes are made in life. I don't think less of you for it. I have a lot of respect for people that grit through the hard stuff, as a matter of fact.

Yikes...that is a pretty big burden. But thank goodness that no one was hurt! The outcome could have been far, far worse.
I hope things go better for you from here on out, especially in the finances area.
