You know it's you,
pixel_trade! Current spouse, Libby Rowan, is by
simsforaranya.
Last time, the first thing I did was roll up a weekly challenge that made all the teens Grilled Cheese sims. Without any current teens, I had to interpret the spirit of the challenge as every teen I acquired during that week should be GC aspiration...
Astrid became a toddler, and, soon after, Freyja and Freyr became teens. Freyja "rolled" GC/Pleasure while Freyr "rolled" GC/Popularity. Ullr invited over
alfredaskew's Maeve in an attempt to have banged three sims in public, though it didn't count in the garage's photo booth. Astrid became a child. Zisa became a teen,
"rolling" GC/Romance in the process.
It sounds so much less interesting than it actually was...well, no matter, this update shall be more eventful!
If you don't follow my other legacies, you may be interested to know that I managed to fix my school friend issue, and Freyr displays this by bringing home Aeneas Dork!
Why, yes, I'm featuring one of my own sims as walkby again. Because not only is Yulia Chance freaking ADORABLE, she was a founder submission I made in July. Totally gonna marry her off to a spare someday.
Honestly don't remember what the point of this pic is. I'm sure that by now, y'all either believe me when I say I have to make the torchholder help every kid with all their assignments, or you don't.
Look, Aeneas, it's not really that Red Hands is that interesting to Zisa, it's that listening to you kvetch about a burglary that doubtlessly happened during your infancy is that boring.
Oh no, Libby, is that your "evil Mrs. Robinson" smirk?
Freyja, honey?
Yes, mom?
Get the hell out of here.
Why does Mom have to interfere with my quest for personal fitness?
BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THAT WAS ABOUT
I'm glad you approve of your self-portrait, Vár. You'd only have yourself to blame if you didn't.
OH BOY
It's not like the last planned kid of the generation wasn't already well into childhood by now, let's add in a bunch of toddlers!
NO
BUT I HAVE TO, ANYWAY
So, since Libby is a miserable, unfulfilled, uncontrollable Romance sim, I have Ullr ask her on a date in a futile attempt to gain her some aspiration points.
It worked. Slightly.
Meanwhile, this is apparently what teens do after school for fun.
It's hard to call the current household uneventful, at any rate. Oh goody, we're about to add three consecutive toddlers to the mix!
Your son dared to noogie me!
Aeneas noogied me back!
...maybe adoption wasn't the best idea I've ever had...
Mommy, mommy, mommy!
Great job, Astrid.
Ullr has realized what having a bunch of Grilled Cheese sims for children means, and he is fucking pissed.
Add in the smustling, and there's definitely a bit of a generation gap in this household.
Vár brings in the adorable quotient with her grandmotherly ways.
What do you mean, you don't want to play red hands with me?
Zisa, I am so goddamned sick of red hands, it is not even funny!
BUT IT'S FUN!
Psh, fine, dance some more and be bo-ring with your bo-ring twin.
Will do.
How about rock, pa--
How about no.
You two should be nicer to your sister.
But she will never understand our twinly bond!
Damn straight!
You two are hopeless.
Meet adopted baby #1, Brodie Bork! She's arrived pre-greened for our convenience~
So, social workers just drop kids off on the pavement?
Roderick Payton (
simmericangirl) learns about the magic of adoption!
Willowmere's social worker is apparently wasted 24/7. Some role model.
Oh well, Ullr'll be a better role model, at least.
Fan-fucking-tastic.
Brodie is lucky to be the first new kidlet, and gets some time to be doted upon. Ullr's top-tier party animal job only requires him to leave the house three late nights a week.
Libby, meanwhile, has to work during the day and returns home with
alfredaskew's Essie.
With 6pm brings the twins' eighteenth birthday, and they're off to Uni. I'm pleased to report that Freyja earned the Tsang Footwork Award!
Just in the nick of time, too!
Somehow, I don't think Freyja's upset about missing out of most of Angelina Week.
Freyr's got the scholarship, too, so I guess blowing off Zisa in favor of smustling actually had a higher purpose besides assholery!
Brodie's running amok, she'll hopefully have some playmates soon. Though that will drastically reduce Ullr's homework tutoring availability.
...this is unsurprising, honestly.
YA Freyja.
YA Freyr. Dong hair, yadda yadda, I like these dreads anyway.
Here comes newcomer #2, Brandon Bork, also arriving in green. It's like Ullr left a memo with the adoption agency: "My children are all required to be clothed in green."
And they still gave him kids!
You'd think they'd be getting suspicious if the same people kept calling in for a kid every freaking day.
Mom?
Yes?
Get out.
Is that okay? OF FREAKING COURSE!
Oh Selene, you are ridiculously cute.
And the car, it was a yellow car!
Oh, then it must be daddy's car.
I'm sure Ullr's yellow car is not the only yellow car in existence, Astrid.
Aaaaand the exercise machine threatens to claim another victim.
LINCOLN
YOU ASSHOLE
Yes, that would be Libby's corpse on the kitchen floor. :(
Hopefully, this will turn out better than the surprise in the last Randolph update. For one, not only does Ullr like his wife, he kinda loves her.
But how do I know which one to pick? 50/50 is horrible odds for something like this!
JUST PICK ONE
I have triumphed over adversity!
...and the exercise bike.
Aw, you have got to be kidding me. What are the odds on this timing?
Weren't you just here?
MY SCHEDULE IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN
Oh, well, if mai-tais are involved, I am so there!
Bye, bye Vár. You were a good heir.
Astrid has been a wee bit preoccupied with all of the DEATH, game!
And, so, the emo begins.
Even though the adoptees barely knew their new grandma, expect their lives to be ruined by her sudden passing.
I know pets are supposed to help people cope, but I never found fish that cheering, myself.
Lincoln, stop trying to kill off the family just because you've finally figured out the heir is not actually your kid.
In Zisa's defense, she's had a long night.
Our final adoptee, Billy Joe Bork. While he doesn't have green clothes (yet), I find it oddly fitting that all of the adoptees have alliterative B-names!
Ah, that's much better...
It's Brodie's birthday! Uncle Dellingr's over to keep company, I guess.
Actually, I had Ullr invite over his siblings and the twins. Hariasa's a wee bit upset to learn of Vár's passing, which is not surprising, given her reaction last update to missing out on a visit with her mother.
At least Brodie managed to overcome the adversity of both Mom and Grandma dropping dead the night before.
It's also Astrid's birthday.
Brodie's makover~
So...Astrid is the final heir-eligible. The only one of the four kids free to roll a non-GC main aspiration. So what does she roll?
Grilled Cheese/Family
So, about what I said last time, Astrid giving you guys a non-GC option? I guess I was mistaken there!
She's straight, too.
And here's our makeover...Astrid is still so adorable.
If that's not inappropriate contact with an uncle, I don't know what else would be...
It appears the Borks have come upon some sort of smustle/conga line hybrid dance...
Hel isn't buying Athena Randolph-Dork's compliments, for some reason. Fine, be that way!
Hariasa drowns out her despair by being an extra good auntie to Brandon.
I'm really fond of Freyja's outfit, so have an extra shot of it.
Billy Joe decides he wants Mommy to feed him.
And then Zisa reads to him...these kids are pretty spoiled, considering how they've been foisted upon me the family.
I am becoming disillusioned with Rocko the more his ghost is an asshole. Dude, you were platinum TWICE over, you should be having an awesome afterlife!
I'd appreciate this more if Zisa wasn't cutting into her important sleep time for this.
I realized I hadn't quite gotten a close-up of aged up Astrid, so here you go!
Brandon's got his OTH, and I'm glad one of the kids finally found the hobby table I laid down in one of the bedrooms.
Seriously, Zisa, you do need some sleep each day.
Zisa manages to survive her school day, and I use her teen command to tackle her (smallish) homework pile. She's about to go off to Uni.
Brodie's been to school for like one day, is already popular.
...I didn't make friends that quickly.
Well, at least you know she can't be heir, huh?
Of course, it's now time for Brandon's birthday.
That'd be a perfect outfit if I hadn't managed to townify those untuckable pants.
Brandon's a cutie!
AND AN ASSHOLE
Billy Joe is still getting most of his rearing from his older sisters.
Again, this scene would be more touching if it wasn't like 3 fucking AM.
I wish you guys weren't all so obsessed with grilled cheese!
Zisa can't blame her little brothers for this.
With Vár's passing, I took the time to make her orange bedroom green. It'll be assigned to the next heir when they return home.
This time around, the birthday party company is a little smaller. The twins.
(And
bondchick_nett's Sweet Georgia Brown Behr, who was coincidentally passing by right that second.)
Today being, of course, Billy Joe's birthday.
And Zisa's off to college, apparently having loved dance as much as her older siblings.
At least she was able to stick around until the toddler party was over.
Here's Billy Joe as a child.
Dammit, Freyja, the gnomes will never be yours. They have been strategically positioned through sheer luck to be unstealable.
Just don't grind on your brother, okay, Astrid?
Having cake hours after the fact is apparently the cool thing to do.
And here's YA Zisa. Don't worry, her pants are green~
The household's down to Astrid and the rest. I'm thrilled by the artificial extension of this generation, can't you tell? :P
Off to school now, it's the boys' first day.
Astrid isn't glad about the homework. It's that she's brought home Aeneas Dork.
Self-evident pics are self-evident.
So, after skipping school, sneaking into school to participate in the spelling bee, Brandon managed to steal some homework, kidnap Selene Randolph, and sneak them both on the bus home.
OR HE JUST FUCKING WENT TO SCHOOL, GAME
sixamsims's Sherlock Hexx walked by to remind me he needed his dreads back. (I had switched out the originals for the set I Pookleted.)
So, while Astrid tries to impress Aeneas with her knowledge of books, I notice that somehow Cassie Randolph (nee Roberts,
leenyland), has come over.
Thanks, Valhalla. You're really fostering inter-legacy unity here.
Rocko didn't want to be outdone by his wife, I guess.
Then Astrid and Cassie bonded over their ~paranormal experiences~.
I had to intervene, Astrid got stuck in one of those unfortunate hack-driven loops. She was starving, so tried to eat the salmon, which "noeatcrap" would not allow her to eat, but she was still starving, and I have a hack installed for them to go for food that's already available, so she tried to eat the salmon...
...I deleted the salmon.
So Astrid made a platter of grilled cheese.
Riiiiiight. Because all I need when forced to play extra time in a generation is a restriction that keeps my torchholder from helping his kids that are BARELY IN GRADE SCHOOL with their homework for a fucking week.
Oh god, Astrid, if you even try to commit suicide by bike...
Mommy, I got an A...
That's, *huff* nice, *wheeze* Brodie!
...somehow Astrid got off long enough for Libby to get on.
One of the kids has brought home Hypnos Randolph, proving that Selene is not everybody's early favorite for that family!
Brandon's got an A+, too. Billy Joe's lagging, for some reason.
Libby, get off the bike before you get to this point...this is how you DIED.
Myshuno faces!
Ah, that was a great precursor to your elder birthday, Libby.
Welp, I don't think we'll be seeing much more of Libby, anyway, after that stellar transition.
Don't bitch at me about it, you're an adorable old lady, so deal with it.
I don't have to like this short haircut.
:P
Oh great, another puddle of piss.
I was going to blame either Astrid or Brodie, because I figured one of them then ran to the bathroom...
...some memory hunting puts the blame squarely on Brandon's shoulders.
After school at the Borks, now that Ullr is struck silent.
(Ullr is not an elder yet because his VAMPIRE WEEK put him some days behind Libby in age.)
Not that this has affected his desire for his wife.
Don't know how I planned to caption this, because "One More Time" by Daft Punk came on just as I was getting to write this part, and it is
so fitting for this picture.
What do you mean, you don't want to play Red Hands?!
Libby...I think that Ullr might have burnt them out on it, just sayin'.
Ullr has resorted to chatrooms for social interaction. I'm using Astrid's teen command on her homework pile, so she's still got at least the sim city scholar scholarship for Uni.
In fact, I decided it best to have the kids use their age commands to do their homework on...this must've been Thursday.
Billy Joe was not pleased.
Nor Brodie. At least they've got the fact that it's Fall to make it go faster.
(And that I roll challenges on Tuesdays, so Ullr had Monday morning to make sure the boys learned to study.)
Nice guns, Astrid. Now let your laryngitic father get some rest.
Chance Time!
...sure she's next in line. That's what you said when she made the same decision last update.
Ullr's OTH is still fitness, but being torch holder has made him acquire so much cuisine enthusiasm, it's his highest scoring hobby.
The Bork brood has brought home the two school-age Randolphs yet again.
Coitus Interruptus!
...it's Ullr's birthday.
Well, his facial hair severely clashes with his hair color, but, otherwise, I'll take it!
Ullr's pouting at his loss of youth, but he's still looking pretty sharp.
It's been awhile since we've seen the older kids, and Brodie's got a birthday, so I cheated and got Freyja, Freyr, and Zisa on the lot. (Since Ullr couldn't invite them over officially, I had Astrid throw the party.)
I figured sick, elderly Ullr deserved to have a birthday party.
Aeneas Dork gets to come too, just in case he tickles Brodie's fancy. She can't be heir, she can have whoever she wants!
Who does he think he is, this is a family party?
Billy Joe, somehow, someway, I'm pretty sure Aeneas will become part of this family because most of the neighborhood are his relatives. The dating pool is small.
Teen time!
Our first non-eligible is also our first non-GC sim. *POUT*
(I'm not too sad. It's another damn romance sim.)
Great transition again, and Brodie is straight.
Ever feel kinda so-so on a sim until you give them a PERFECT MAKEOVER? That's how it happened with me and Brodie. Her teen makeover is the bestest thing.
And, though the party's still in full swing, I send Astrid off to Uni.
The rest of the family does not let that interrupt their smustle. (Astrid is the only sibling so far to NOT get Tsang footwork, btw.)
Oh god, even eating meals is now an ~experience~ for Ullr. Without the ability to speak, he can merely frown in disapproval at his sons for interrupting his ~experience~.
YA Astrid. I think she's cute in this even shorter hair, but I'm still waffely, I really liked her teen hair on her.
Myshuno cube, tell me your secrets.
I honestly had to cut back on so much Brodie spam in the latter half of this update because it was already shaping up to be SO. LONG. after I committed to finish out the week of Ullr silence.
I guess Billy Joe is just chilling in his parents' bed because he's too young to interfere in their love life by attaching himself to the exercise bike.
Eros Randolph walks by to remind us just why Eros is the root for the word ~erotic~.
Poor Brandon. Circumstances made it so that no one else in the house was awake for his birthday, except for Brodie.
Welp, hello there, odd ginger doppleganger of Quentin Laurince. Even if you weren't Generation Green, I'd have to get you different clothing because it's just too creepy.
I managed to miss capping his aspiration, he rolled Fortune/Knowledge. He's also bi.
Ah, here we are. His skin was woefully undefined in the face, but I had hardly any makeup the right shade. This is an improvement in so many ways.
Brodie serves her first meal. Unfortunately, the main ingredient appears to have been Alpo.
Still in the midst of Ullr-no-talky-week, I have the teens use their age command to tackle their homework.
You know, there are about a thousand other places in that house to flex in your underwear, Brodie. You didn't have to pick RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR KID BROTHER.
Libby just sort of lingers around the house, crying. The saddest thing is how little elder time she got allotted. There was a real possibility she might've died of old age before the end of the update, but it wasn't quite that bad.
Brodie has either learned to love homework, or she is doodling something along the lines of "BRODIE + AENEAS = LUV" in the margins of her notebook.
Have you ever wondered why the older kids love Grilled Cheese so much?
Not really. I figured it was some sort of genetic defect, honestly.
Guess what, guys, Billy Joe is having a birthday! And the last pic wasn't coincidental!
GODDAMN. What are the odds? I have three kids forced to be GC, and a 50% proportion of GC in the other four.
Billy Joe is straight.
While I respect Brandon not wanting tickles from his sister since he's dressed inappropriately, that doesn't change the fact that he's dressed REALLY FUCKING INAPPROPRIATELY.
Ah, here's Billy Joe. He's got the crazy eyes!
Ullr still can't talk. Most. Awkward. Birthday. Ever.
And, with Billy Joe's newfound lifestage comes a new command, and he gets to tackle his homework pile, too. Now, all the teens have gotten caught up just in time to go to school on Monday.
I'd feel worse for Billy Joe if he wasn't able to just plunk his ass down and join in the "hanging out" without any trouble.
Ullr ran out of vacation days. :(
GRILL THAT CHEESE!
Brodie, what have I said to you about personal space?
...uh, you have it?
So, I guess if old people jog at 4am, it's them getting early and not staying up late?
Aeneas has become a fixture around the household. I better age him up before the next generation are teens, or it might be weird.
I called in scholarships on the last three teens prior to the end of this update, just in case. I wasn't decided on their fates. As you can see, Brodie has truly integrated into the household!
So, I am totally the hottest green-wearing ginger around!
Look, I find it really inappropriate that you tried to invoke such a comparison when the other person who fits that category is my own brother!
So Brodie gave Aeneas a noogie. We've all learned how he feels about mussing his hair.
Libby's found some small happiness in meeting a new person. Well, kinda new. This is Naaru Magicakes (
brilliantcat), the heir I received when I played my round in the Magicakes RR.
Just because you died before you met him, Vár, doesn't make it any more appropriate to terrorize your grandson!
Meh, I hate it when the guests end up mingling with each other instead of my uncontrollables.
Aaaaaand, when my back was turned, Ullr put himself on the exercise bike of doom. Can't wait to see what I'm in for when I get back to the household, if my final act for him as torch holder is to cancel out the exercise bike.

Poll Bork Generation 4 Heir Poll -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- I reserve the right to not follow the poll on the adoptees. I just can't decide, they are so much younger than everyone else, but it'd probably be annoying to have the heir move back and have to help their teen siblings do their homework.
- This was an annoying combination of challenges this (entire) generation, for sure!
- Laurinces next, and I hope to not have such an extensive break again, but one day playing their household took ages, so it will take awhile to play until I can move more of the ginormous generation Q out to Uni!
