I figured Marui was alive from the very beginning, but I really thought Yagyuu went to the land of the ex-Yagyuus. Can't imagine why.... >_>
That's interesting, because when I asked my beta whether she believed Marui was dead, she didn't seem to have an opinion! (Although it is well-known that if you do not see the body, it is not dead.)

Wow. I'm so glad I read this. AUs make me happy, plot makes me happy, lengthy fic make me happy, and I loved how you handled the development of Niou and Yagyuu's relationship. Vacivity, you're one lucky recipient! I'm happy for you :).

I'm SO HAPPY IT'S A HAPPY ENDING. After all that amazing drama and all that, omg, I was afraid it'd end in tragedy. But Marui came back! And Jackal.... oh, you crazy bastard, you got Yagyuu shot. I like how there was The Switch in here, but for plot purposes more than just for the heck of including it or something. Yay! Excellently developed fic, I liked the thoroughness of it-- you have tension between Niou and Sanada and Yukimura as well, and there were some crazy twists that I wasn't expecting <3 It was great!
As terribly embarrassing as it is to admit, I actually started tearing up towards the end when Niou makes them switch again because I was anticipating the worst. And then you proved me wrong, wahhh. ♥
I loved this to pieces, how their relationship slowly developed, the switch... and I really felt bad for Niou throughout the whole thing, having to deal with everything. Also, Sanada and Yukimura were fantastic. ♥
tl;dr: Awesome fic, going straight into my memories.
