Because I have to be at work at 6:30AM tomorrow. Any later than that and my pay will be docked. ._.
(It's technically not supposed to be legal to do something like this actually... maybe I should've made more of a protest when it was suggested...)
[EDIT]
The explanation... or just go ahead and click on the comments link to see :P
We're going to have to run down 32 floors of stairs for the drill, then wait an eternity just to get back up here to continue working. That's why the boss declared that we could be off at 2:30 (so we still have elevator use, and we don't have to run back up when the drill is over). In return, we have to offer up two extra hours for the lost time.
I wanted the two hours to be overtime on another day. But the rest of the office decided to come in instead at 6:30, work through lunch, and leave at 2:30.
So it was actually an office decision, and not that of our boss, to come in at 6:30.
(Yung sinasabi ko lang bawal, yung pay-dock kung late kami, but the boss wanted to be sure we don't abuse the kindness of leaving early by coming in late)
