[Well today certainly was an odd day. There were new faces. A lot of new faces. New arrivals in and of themselves were noteworthy, in the new settlement this place was... but there were so many.
And there was something else. It's like they were all lost, dazed, confused. As if they had no idea why they were here... And in a new settlement, that was very strange. But still, it was her job to help others.
So if you're wandering around looking lost, if you're struggling with your new form, you may find a Smeargle next to you, watching you concernedly]
[Conan was still struggling to adapt to moving on four legs. He pushes himself back up after tripping over his own legs again and notices the strange creature looking at him.]
[Oh dear... They seemed to be having trouble... were they maybe sick? They didn't look to be of the learning-to-walk age - and even if they were, then it was worrying that there didn't seem to be any parents around...
When Conan wakes, he instantly knows something is wrong. He should be hearing the sound of traffic and smelling the familiar cheap leather and chemical smell of another of the old man's rental cars. But here there was only the smell and sounds of a meadow
( ... )
This was strange. All of this was really bizarre. He could have sworn that they made it home safely and yet here he was. His whole physical structure is anything but normal and he didn't have the faintest idea why.
More importantly, he didn't know where the kids were. Were they safe too? Okay? Alive even? That was at the tops of his priority list. The penguin was scampering around, adapting to the new body, not paying attention to his own features. He eventually stumbled across a Mudkip...with glasses.
"Conan is that you?"
Wait. Why is he asking an animal if it's him? Well the fact that he didn't seem human anymore would probably be a good start.
...Did a penguin just talk to him? And in a very familiar voice?
Conan had to assume it was a penguin for now. It resembled that animal more than anything else he could compare it to, even though no species of penguin was that large or blue.
And that voice and the way it held itself was familiar. Too familiar. Was it possible that whatever had transformed him had been administered to him as well?
Could you hear the annoyance in his tone? This was not what he was expecting. At least he found one kid though, now for the other one. Though he couldn't fathom where to even begin in regards to searching for his beloved daughter.
[Neku decided to say FORGET THIS and just sit down for a bit, since standing with this body seemed like too much effort. Even just sitting, though, was still pretty strange. This felt waaaay too real to be a dream.]
[Hm. Odd, that. Did a group of Pokemon just come from across the sea?
...after hitting some fermented Berries a bit too hard? Perhaps they were just too hungover to realize they were somewhere new. ...or, perhaps, there was some other explanation...
Well, completely drunk or not, it never did hurt to show some class. So, someone ambling about might run into a crow with very odd feather structure, who greets them with-]
Excuse me. Are you new here? I haven't seen you around before.
[Link was still walking around the village looking for...anything, and it seems he's run into a crow. An odd looking crow, but no strnager looking than himself at the moment. Link, now a Leafeon, looked up and hesitated a bit before speaking. That thing did talk to him, right?]
Uh, I guess I am. I don't really know where here is though.
[It most certainly did! Come on Link you've dealt with Kaepora Gaebora. At least this talking bird doesn't come with "Yes, repeat ten text boxes of exposition" as a preset.
OR DOES HE]
You're on Carnelian Island. New Shaleton, to be precise.
[Hinamori woke up with a start... then saw that she was in a green field, which was most certainly not where she had been last night.]
-over...slept?
[She moved to stand up, but-oh. Things were... different. She paused, then-yes, she must still be sleeping. Well, she had to get up early today, so... it was time to get up!
...she would... wake up any minute now.
...so now there's a Growlithe sitting in the middle of the Stone Garden looking increasingly panicked as she tries and fails to wake up.]
...it's some kind of lizard wearing a hat. ...well, that's kind of... actually it's kind of adorable. Maybe she should move a little WELP SHE JUST TRIPPED OVER HER OWN FEET.]
[The trip will be enough to start that lizard from his sleep!] Bwaaaaaah! [He tries to pull himself up while flailing his arms. The humanoid form means he can at least manage to sit. ... Only to see a Growlithe bigger than he is.] Wh- huge dog!

"Stick close to me and don't wander off."
He meant it, Conan.

Quite a mystery.

Juvenile Absol. Should be a little more steady on your feet than that. Confusion? Or something more permanent?

I didn't think I was in Hyrule anymore. How do I get back? And how do I get my normal body back?
