That makes my brain hurt. I'll never quite grasp how people can think so simply, it always seems like they must be joking. In fairness, it's not just the rightwingers who're like that - while working at the Sierra Club I've definitely seen some left-wing wacktivists that are just as bad (they're not in the SC mind you, but they call us). The religious right does have a fairly solid share of the market though.
I'm curious how she arrived at 20 years as the date for the apocalypse? And uh, if he's so good, wouldn't he have prevented it? Though I guess it's our fault for getting in his way huh? It's interesting being in DC, there's such a vicious split in government right now. The rightwingers are trying to push as much through as fast as they can, and the leftwingers are digging in their heels and just trying to wait out the storm without losing too much more ground. And there's a bit of a tizzy over whether Gore will run or not. You should be in DC, you'd have fun. :)
