I watch myself grow gaunt,
prod plump skin
but only feel bones.
I am hungry for you
yet am never fed.
No more do I feast
from a touch or two,
no more do I drink
from a lingering gaze.
You are starving me,
I remember well
that one can die
from more than just
a lack of food.
