Part of it became what you talked about - the demandingness. I mean, yeah, gaming's fun and all, but biting my head off for not having my eyes glued to IRC was rather too far.
From what little I observed (and heard) after I basically left, he's permanently snippy it seems. It's not just you, or just me.
As for politics, the biggest issue was that he refused the idea that people can look at the world differently. Trying to point out an intrinsic perception difference was simply ignored or scoffed at (and once even laughed at), and that's the fast track to bitterness.
Really though? I gave up after I quit Balmuria. That he apparently couldn't handle that he was being so insane that I didn't want to break that to him by PM, and then essentially proved me right by exploding at me for the whole thing, pretty much ended everything. #mk basically died there, though it was on its way down already.
