True Blood (what I thought of as Vampire Romance Cash-In #3007) had no interest for me until I heard someone describe the redneck vampires: "How kin yew keyull whut's alreddy ded?!" Awesome. That and the 70s blaxploitation vampires talking about blood-raiding an LSU frat party.
It's great because in addition the sheer WTFry of the soap opera plot, the vampires are either completely subverting tropes (Bubbapires) or conforming to them in all the wrong ways, like when the stoic blond guy above sashays in, ruins his coif by messily eating a dude, and does it all in sweatpants.
