I just realized that I have no idea how to make decent monochromatic art.  I THOUGHT I did, but oh hey -- drawing a bunch of coloring book-y lines with the plan to magically fill them in with shadow isn't a substitute for actual knowledge of tones or lighting.  Whoops.  There's a whole new learning curve I didn't plan on having to make.  http:// ( Read more... )

Been keeping pretty busy, but not with anything worth posting about -- waking up at 4 AM in a fever and spending several hours mailing out 32 more job applications, that sort of thing.  There's nothing tangible to show for all this time spent, but here are some thoughts to enrich your day:
