I made it to 52 last year, but it was a hollow victory. Starting over fresh, but again, this year I will again do my best to get to 50, but more importantly, I want to read good writing and stuff that I enjoy. Again I give myself the freedom to not finish books that I do not like and books that I cannot get into, and I urge myself to complete all these half-finished books that lie neglected around my house (you know, like I wanted to last year). I want to read diversely and well, and I want to come out in 2009 (HOMIGAWD!) with a sense of accomplishment.
