((A. Action, early morning, 1124 Taylor Road; limited to anyone within earshot.))

[Three things were wrong when Thor woke up this morning. One: He was not in Bilskirnir, where he distinctly remembered having fallen asleep. Two: The woman sleeping on his left was not his wife. Three: The bedstand to his right most definitely did not have a hammer ( Read more... )

[ An armored Jotun approaches the god. ]

Excuse me, ser. Are you attempting to flip the vehicle?

[Thor drops the front of the car to turn on the newcomer. Who in all the nine realms would be talking to him when he is clearly trying to subdue a--

...Well. That answers the question of where he is. And clearly the knowledge does not please him. Thor plants a hand on the front of the car, apparently under the impression that this is keeping it in place, and gives the giant his most intimidating glare. The bastard will know who he is.]

Is this how you make mock of Thor? Think you that I will be merciful? Think not that you will escape me, when I have slain your vehicle!

Don't slay the vehicle, it has a mortal in it. It would be unfortunate if they were hurt. [ he points a gauntleted hand to the driver. ]

I take it your name is Thor then? I am Garviel Loken.

[If anything, Thor just looks angrier. He's convinced this stranger is mocking him - why else would a giant not know and fear the name of Thor?]

I am Thor Odinsson, and I do not require my hammer to tear your head from your shoulders! Thor was fighting giants before Mjollnir was ever forged!

[Hey, at least he's not actively damaging the car anymore.]

[... there is a large man attempting to wrestle a car, and it isn't Sabin? Edgar is just going to watch from the sidewalk for a bit.]

[Thor takes no notice of the newcomer. He appears to be trying to get his shoulder under the car now, but he's not getting very far - it's rocking, but lifting it clearly isn't going to happen.

With a frustrated growl, Thor gives up on that nonsense, straightens up, and punches it. It puts a dent in the hood, garners him more angry beeping, and leaves him in more pain than punching something has put him in for a long time.]

Can this beast be made of iron?!

[HWARGH BACK TO TRYING TO FLIP IT]

[At that he just has to laugh to himself. Definitely like Sabin. He decides to speak up at this point before he has to see this car in his shop later.]

It's called a car, it's made of iron, and it's not a beast.

[HWARGH WHAT PEOPLE? Thor turns on the newcomer, keeping a firm hand on the hood of the car. So it can't escape.]

If you are the one who sent it to attack me, then best run while I finish it!

[Tarvek elegantly backs his car away from Thor and zips to a parking spot beside the curb. No idiot, he gets out on the far side, then leans on the car, looking at the other red-head.]

Red-lightning and hail! Let me guess: you're another of Mayfield's latest cohort of conscripts? Am I right? Woke up in the wrong place, with the wrong people, and the whole day's been going downhill rapidly ever since?

[Smiles, and adds,]

If so -- well, if you want a friend 'til you've got your bearings, I'm offering. Tarvek Sturmvoraus, at your service.

[Wait what the hell the monster is still there but someone was... was in it? And now he's talking but about what, Thor's not really sure-- there was a name in there somewhere, but overall this isn't helping his mood any.]

You speak? Then spare me your prattle and tell me what in what realm I find myself, or you will know my wrath without your armor between you and it!

[Tarvek continues to lean on the car, but holds up a hand and raises a finger.]

The realm is Mayfield.

[Another finger goes up.]

You've been kidnapped here.

[Another]

So have most of the people here...don't beat people up thinking they brought you. They didn't.

[Another]

No, no one's happy with it.

[Fifth little pinky.]

And, again, I'm offering to help if I can. If you don't try to squash me like a cat squashes a mimmoth before I can do you any good. I'm Tarvek. Red-heads should stick together.

[Oh, he is so suspicious. He's still hostile! But slightly less openly.]

Do you know, then, who brought me here, and for what purpose?

[ Rita was awakened by the sounds of, well, some dude bellowing. Something about a hammer.

This wasn't too surprising. She had been sleeping in an inn in Dahngrest, and the place wasn't known for being the most quiet or cities. The fact she was sleeping in a bed: while they often made do in less accommodating places, they had been at an inn.

What did catch her attention was the fact that this wasn't said inn. This room was far less open, filled with things far too girly to even exist in the guild city, and she was most definitely alone.

Rita was on her feet the moment she made those realizations. ]

What the hell is going on here-!?

[ Her next realization came at that moment, as she began to attempt casting a spell.... and nothing happened. She had noticed she was wearing some silly-looking gown instead of her normal clothes, but her blastia were missing!?

Oh, somebody was going to pay for this. ]

[ Oh, and that yelling that woke her up? It was still happening.

It didn't take long for Rita to connect the fact that there was guy standing outside her window yelling these things to the noise.

So with little-to-no further consideration, Rita threw open the window. Because hey, this was the only guy around she could yell at. ]

Hey! You! Loudmouth!

[ So Thor, have a deceptively small girl shouting from a window. She looks angry. ]

richtighammer July 12 2011, 21:33:11 UTC
[AN ANSWER. Thor turns, locates the source of the noise, points at it, and bellows right back, ignoring for the moment the presence of yet another person in the hall in which he'd woken:]

Speak not to me unless you can say where Mjollnir has been taken!

blastiagraphy July 12 2011, 21:46:56 UTC
[ So this guy was missing something?

For a normal person, that realization might help them calm down for a bit, but Rita wasn't normal.

Point one: Her blastia were missing, and that was bound to be more important than.... wasn't Mjolnir the name of one of Karol's hammers? Well, whatever.

Point two: His attitude pissed her off.

Point three: There is no point three. One and two are enough.

So instead, Rita will shout right back. ]

You can't tell me when to be quiet! I'll speak if I want to! And right now, I want some answers!

[It just so happens that Neal was going for a jog around the block when Thor started his shouting. And damn, it's hard not to hear him.]

Whoa, relax. I don't think shouting's going to get you anywhere.

[AHA. A PERSON. Thor is going to put himself right in Neal's path - he is not getting by here until Thor gets answers, damn it.]

If I knew who had done this thing, I would do more than shout! Where is Mjollnir?

I am the wrong person to ask. As far as I know, we're all in the same boat.
