It's funny how people throw the word "love" around a lot. I use it.. but it's w/ people I feel I've gotten to know really well. Today we took the kids to the San Jose tech museum. Each of the counselors were in charge of one or two kids, and I was paired up with Britney and Anyssa. Anyssa had caused some trouble before and yeah, I ended up having to chase her around the museum half the time. Today I finally realized something. That the kids I have been working with are not your ordinary kids. They are put under a lot of stress and I guess I let the fact that they do not have a stable home slip by. I forgot they are living in a homeless shelter.
