I've been looking forward to intervention day for years. I wonder when they will make the announcement.

It's former because it's not future anymore. It might be alternate now.

It's from the Galactic Milieu book series. It's not quite a trilogy of trilogies, it's....whoa, it's shaped like the Sphinx's leg riddle... The author is exactly the sort of person who might do that intentionally. The first series is awesome. The others are less so.

Sounds like the continuing space time saga. I don't remember that exact quote but I'm very fuzzy on the future/past like that.
