Punditdolls, at last!

Okay, I finished these ages ago and started this post like a month ago, but now I'm going to get off my ass and post it. :) I thought I'd posted or at least started posting about them but couldn't find anything, but I checked my saved Semagic files and sure enough there's a half-finished punditdoll post... ehehe. Thanks! :) (and lol, I made them, not her. ^^ She just took that photo... I don't think she quite knows what to make of them, heh. Anyway, they're not that difficult to make - I used and adapted slightly this pattern for the body. My sewing skills are pretty basic...)

I'd like to make Rachel, yeah... but now that I'm travelling and will be for monthes, I don't have access to a sewing machine. :( I did consider making some by hand ("hmm," I thought to myself the other day, "I need a Rachel doll... and Rahm and Obama dolls... oh god someone stop me". I even checked out a fabric store, but couldn't see any felt. I may try again, though. ^^ Just not sure how well I could do it without a machine).

well, instead of me having any sewing skills, my mom does. (She used to make clothes for me and my sisters when we were younger). I tried to learn how to sew, but got too impatient.

Somebody at deviantart.com made an awesome Obama doll. About two weeks before the election, she sold it on Ebay for around $300

Ahh, okay. :) Misunderstood, sorry. ^^ And yeah, fair enough... sewing can get pretty frustrating. I like making them, but mostly I just like having them DONE. It's not too difficult to make simple dolls like this, but it can still get frustrating when it doesn't work and you have to rip it out and redo it... ^^;

That's pretty cool about the Obama doll... though wow, $300! Heh, I should get on this! :)
