Congratulations on surviving the move mostly intact - and yay for quiet! Elementary should be a treat for you after all that hard work. I had some misgivings after the season 1 ending; I thought the whole Irene-is-Moriarty thing was kinda dumb, but season 2 looks to be off to a good start.

Dood, I also missed your birthday, which fell in the middle of me doing all this packing. I hope you had a good one and the family wasn't too crazy.

I have a lot of TV to catch up with. My priority right now is getting the living room situated so I can set up the TV and speakers in time for Supernatural next Tuesday!

I'm going to try to catch up on everything I missed this week in the middle of unpacking.

Hey no problem - I wish I could've missed it, LOL.

And hell yeah, Supernatural - I liked last season a tad more than the previous couple, so I'm actually excited for this season almost the way I used to be during earlier seasons. Mostly I'm just happy because it seems like after ages of there being hardly anything worth watching on telly, there seems to be a bunch of favourites returning and new things that look interesting starting, all at the same time.

Ugh, that sounds awful! I hope you didn't have to pay extra for those extra hours. (That's also why I always move myself and simply "hire" friends with pizza and beer to move.)

Glad you're in though and liking the location so far!

Yeah, the original quote was 700-something, with overages going to 115 an hour. Which is what happened. This has been incredibly expensive so far, and the higher rent is looming over my unemployed head heavily. I'm going to have to get something, anything, to bring in some money to help. The career I had is essentially gone now, and I suppose it's about time I face the fact that I will be working for minimum wage again for the rest of my life. I don't have any other options. And God, that sounds depressing as hell, but I can't keep going like this and not having any money come in. I have to suck it up and deal with it, and forget I ever got an education and the expectation of something better for my future.

I am so sorry. I really wish I knew a way to help! Everything about the economy and the government is just so fucking depressing right now.

I will continue to keep you in my positive job thoughts. *HUGS*

I'm glad you survived the move okay - the movers sound as if they were rather incompetent, taking so much time.

Sorry to hear the toenail is still giving you problems... And even though I was very tired afterwards, I enjoyed the walk around Stanley Park.

I think it's really the tendons in my foot, which cause the middle toe to curl downward. Thus when I walk I tend to hit the toenail against the inside bottom of my shoe, and it breaks. It's the most peculiar thing as I never had this issue before. Right now along with it being broken it's also numb, The entire bottom half of my middle toe has absolutely no feeling whatsoever.

I loved that walk around Stanley Park! It was only later that I felt a weird sort of flicking on ,y toe and discovered the nail had been completely torn off. Bizarre.

Hopefully you won't have to do this again for a while. :-)
Yay for the quiet. Ouch, your poor feet, hope your toenail heals soon.
