First, Supernatural. What a fantastic episode! I didn't have very high hopes based on the teaser, but it was a solidly plotted, paced, and scripted hour that combined the MotW with the mythology. I always love those. Bravo Ben Edlund. I had a feeling it wasn't one of the freshman writers penning this one. I would have changed the title to something ( Read more... )

I was so surprised I enjoyed the direction the "Men of Letters" storyline is taking. I love the fact that the guys have a safe home base again with Bobby gone. They needed that.

Hope you're enjoying it! LOL, I always have to yell at my girlfriend during the episodes because she gets distracted easily and always winds up checking her phone and going online while we watch the episodes. She likes the show, but I keep shushing her because I miss all the important plot points when she wants to show me dancing Internet cats.

*fingers crossed* on your job interview!

Also, I'm glad you are enjoying Elementary, even though my reaction to it seems to be the polar opposite of yours!

I know from all your Holmesian readings that you have a purer view of the Deductionist than I do. I'm taken with Jonny Lee Miller's portrayal I guess. He's very good in this version of the role.

It has improved as the season goes on. I enjoy the banter between Holmes and Watson most of all, especially when he says stuff that's completely inappropriate (like telling her he's tracked her menstrual cycle, LOL!). I laugh every week.

Supernatural was so enjoyable I saved it on the DVR to watch again, as a matter of fact. I was most impressed by the "gay" scene in the bar. For the first time we didn't see Dean grimacing or pretending to gag when thinking about another guy. He was actually flattered/nervous! I LOVED how they played that. Such a refreshing change.
