The complaint about the iPod Photo was quite old if I'm not wrong. Apple has since retired that series of iPods and their new iPods which have the functions of the old iPod Photos and more, is great from what I heard from my friends who bought it.
As for the nano, from what other people says, it's good... really good... Shuffle with the screen...
I saw this bad boy 2 days ago and it totally rocks. Now this is what we're talking about. The iPod Mini sucked, in my opinion, especially in the appearance department. And also, I like the new name of nano. It's a cool name for a cool new toy.
If I had time to listen to music outside of the apartment, I'd totally get one of these.
'nano' is a really cool name for their iPod. Just that I always felt that Apple's biggest strength over their poor competitor Creative is the number of MP3 players on their shop. Go to Creative website and you will be brutally confused by the huge number of MP3 players being sold there with lots of terms and more.
But Apple is different in such that they will always only have 1 'iPod', retiring the older generation iPods. And they looked like they were going the same way with the iPod mini after retiring the 1st generation before. That's how the iPod gained brand recognition and the mini for a short while. Cause they re-used the name again and again. Creative's 'Zen' means nothing because there is so many different 'Zens' out there.
However they strategized differently this time, retired the mini and came up with the 'nano'. Oh well, I guess anything 'iPoddish' will become famous gradually...
